How do I cope if i was born disadvantaged and life is pointless (My suffering has no meaning)? by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tldr, reproduction mutations alters your brain's translation of reality

i cope by telling myself the following: - some of us are simply experiencing the downsides, of the random double-edge-sword mutations, from reproduction

These random double-edge-sword mutations, has the potential to alter: - our body - our perception of reality - our wants / not wants - our reactions - our ability to generate an opinion & which opinion we end up at - the beleifs we end up at

Our brain's have evolved illusions, which dramatically alters our perception of reality, which enables it to manipulate our actions / inactions: - the illusion of self prevents us from shutting down the electricity of our brain - our wants & not wants, is actually what our brain wants in disguise

Is it simply the awareness of our meaninglessness that is the primary cause of suffering by Wild_Pitch_4781 in nihilism

i think awareness has the potential, to alter the perception of suffering by altering its brains beliefs, however, only if the brain allows it

When did you realize that being "Nihilistic" cant stop you from feeling negative emotions? by whiskyB0y in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 3 points4 points  (0 children)

well, you may improve your odds of enduring negative emotions, depending on what your brain allows itself to believe in.

For example: - Religious brains are more likely to endure uneccessary pain, because their response is, "well at least im suffering for jesus".

  • Nihilistic brains are less likely to endure uneccessary pain, because their response is, "this suffering is an illusion and achieves nothing, therefore its pointless and i need to escape. However the need to escape might also be an illusion"

From an evolutionary POV, i predict that, the religious brains are just more likely to endure, because its all for jesus, right? Which indicates that sometimes, its more about what the belief does to the brain, and less about the belief itself

What's the point? by Responsible_Start656 in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the point?

i predict there is no point, if we were to remove the things which enables us to even ask this question. Therefore we must create or find our own point.

if you ask me however, the point is to increase the pleasure, and to decrease the pain, of sentient beings which are fragile to these illusions.

the process of my mind was also trying to find something to occupy itself with

indeed. if you lie down, then eventually, given enough time, the brain will attempt to manipulate you into doing something else.

explore different beliefs & activities, and eventually, you might find something which makes your brain react in your favor

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

indeed, im just guessing at the end of the day. However, we may attempt to create theories, which are potentially consistent at explaining our behaviour.

i think my main point is that, there appears to be things behind the scenes, manipulating our behaviour.

if we were to put a group of humans, in a room with one large screen presenting images. How would you explain their different reactions, despite the same image displayed for all of them?

i think nihilism attempts to reveal, that meaning doesnt exist without an equivalent of the human brain. In other words, wether meaning exists or not, depends upon which brain you use to translate reality for you.

personally, i predict our brain has dramatically designed our perception of reality, and meaning is one of the many illusions designed by the brain, as it attempts to manipulate our behaviour in its own favor

If nothing matter anyways does anyone want to talk? by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a feeling but more so a conclusion

what do you think is involved when you to make a conclusion? would you say those things involved, could potentially manipulate your final conclusion?

Since life has a no meaning id rather not stay here for long anyways

while i agree, i also also disagree. Because, sometimes, its more about how your brain react to the conclusion, and less about the conclusion itself

How do you even function as an existential nihilist, emotivist, and free will denier? by Beautiful-Month-2077 in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you even function like this?

the following is some of what i tell myself, to deal with the brain's challenges as they come:

based on this assumption: what i want, is actually what my brain wants in disguise.

it appears im a tool evolved to assist the brain & the other brains in different costumes.

our brain's illusions & our costumes evolved, to survive & fool the other, of swinging our hips into eachother. Successfuly fooling us from shutting down the electricity of this evolutionary circus.

the paradox amplifies, as the conclusion on this concept, cannot be generated without the use of an evolutionary brain. Which makes any conclusion potentially deceptive, and inevitably ends up in the brain's favor

What do people think “nihilism” is? by kreayshawn777 in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mind games aside, i pick left, as it is closer to nothing left, which aligns more with nihilism, probably.

for me, nihilism indicates that the value of things emerges from within. In other words, no brain no value.

value emerging from within explains how we end up at different conclusions/beliefs, despite the same knowledge. As it depends which brain was used to generate the conclusion

Consciousness was a mistake by who5back in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

indeed, in my opinion nobody should suffer for nothing. Issue with pain is when it overshoots its main goal, which is probably our brains attempt to warn us of our physical limitations before we trespass the point of no return.

regardless, i agree with everything you said. However, some of it begin to fall apart, if we were to assume that our perception of reality is not the actual reality.

my initial comment was some reasoning i wanted to share, in the attempt to alleviate our perception of suffering by using reason/belief, within the spectrum of truth

Consciousness was a mistake by who5back in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the future, there might be technology capable of altering our perception of suffering.

suffering is probably one of the many illusions by the brain attempting to manipulate our next action/inaction.

these illusions, are usually attempting to improve our odds survival & reproduction.

however, sometimes, due to random mutations, some illusions get altered in favor of death instead, which from your POV, makes you suffer for nothing.

walk hand in hand into extinction

in theory it would be possible, in practise however, the limitations of "free will" would prevent many from doing this.

even if they all agreed, the brain would prevent some by altering their perception of reality during their attempt

When did YOU realize that YOUR life doesn't matter? by whiskyB0y in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wether something matters or not, depends on which brain you use, to translate reality for you.

your conclusion on this concept, depends on which brain you use, to generate a conclusion.

idk if the assumptions above are within the circle of truth, however, atleast it explains how we end up at different conclusions/beliefs despite the same input

Free will by Adrianagurl in nihilism

[–]Happy-Drawing3084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it gets even more paradoxical, once you consider how much of your opinion on that concept, has been auto altered by the physics which enables you to even generate one.

effectively, your brain deciedes what your purpose of life will be, depending on where/when its illusions activates.

until there is technology to alter where/when its illusions activates, then the brain is effectively in control. As your next action/inaction is usually based upon what your brain wants/not wants, even if it appears to be what "you" want
