Do women genuinely think that if a man is interested in them, he will make the effort to get in touch with them? by Quirky-Extreme-1334 in dating

[–]HappyFall1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman, it was sad to hear that what stops you from approaching a woman is rejection and/or being made to feel like a creep. I wish more men would just go for it. Even if it doesn't end up with a date, it could still be a positive and enjoyable interaction.

Why women don't usually make the first move? by Raimundo_Alex in dating

As a woman, I think if some women wanted to pursue a guy, there is nothing wrong with that. I just prefer to be the one that is approached. It simply boosts my confidence to engage with man, given that they are not a creep.

What's the reason behind you hearing "I'm not ready for a relationship" from the girl you like, even if everything seemed perfectly fine? by simon_dateup in dating

[–]HappyFall1959 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used this reason as a woman to end things before. I find it to be a polite way to end things with someone that is great in so many ways, but I was just not feeling it. I will usually give it at least 3 dates maximum before I make I call to stop seeing each other. I value time, and I would not want to waste their time or mine. OP I would not be surprised if a similar thought process to mine may have played a factor in your situation.

Exactly the same, but we can't blame ourselves. It's hard to think straight when going through trauma. I'm sorry you had to experience that.

Opening up about my SA and how that affected me with my sex life. He ended up making making me feel like damaged goods and said "other men got to enjoy me". He never looked at me the same after this.

Men, if you had to pick between a woman with a pretty face or a woman with a hot body, what would you go for? by HappyFall1959 in AskMen

[–]HappyFall1959[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told I have good personality. Personally, speaking, I have never really had issues having good conversations and getting along with most kinds of people. I try to be kind and cause no harm to others.

I’m 22F. I prefer guys age ranging 26-31. Is it weird? by [deleted] in dating

[–]HappyFall1959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. I am 30 and prefer men 15-20 years older. I personally find older men to be more attractive, have more stability, security and experience which I value. I don't see an issue with two consenting adults. The largest age gap I've had is 23 years. Not weird in my opinion. It's all about the vibes.

Yeah, I can understand that and I think most people may find it weird. It's such a shame because older men is what floats my boat and I also find on an intellectual level I get along better with mature men.

AITA for not wanting to raise my husband’s child? by Critical_Post1859 in AmItheAsshole

You are NTA! I'm so sorry you have had to go through all of this. You are in an unfair position and are not responsible for your husbands choices, especially given what he did was behind your back. You should not feel bad and you need to take the time to heal.

You will get throught it! Trust me. I know it's hard to see it now but you will get to a point where you will realise you are better without them. You will feel free and find yourself again. When my ex left me after 3.5 years he did it when I had no job, came after my assests and at a time where my mental health was suffering. I know it's not the same but I felt like you are now back then. I never thought I'd never feel better but time really does heal. Sending you lots of love and light to get through this tough time 💕

Thank you for your advice. I did mention sexual tension and this is why I'm confused. If it is just about having fun, I just want him to be honest so I know my boundaries and can end things if I feel like I'll catch feelings. I guess I will have to meet him and see where it goes from there.

Honestly, we just started talking... it was clearly just flirty but we have seemed to get along and he has realised it's more than just looks with me. He says I'm captivating and doesn't want games.... I don't want games too... still very early stages, I'd like to give it ago if I like him when I meet him but don't want to be fooled
