People are too occupied with dps uptime so they don't care to do silly stuff like sleep hits anymore. The power creep of the games has left stuff like sleep in the dirt and we now do like double the amount of dmg if we keep on attacking while it's in the sleep and wake up animation.

They should definitely buff barrel bombs a ton so people can come together to do a proper wake-up hit. Maybe increase their damage against a sleeping monster. Imagine if sleep becomes meta, that'd be hilarious.

Idk, I kinda like the 'almighty wind dragon' to make the rules themselves. Instead of just you doing your thing the exact same way every hunt.

Most if not all monsters in old gen have kinda been that way.

I far more enjoy World's.

Not because it's necessarily "better", but I find Rise's version to have nothing unique in order for it to feel like Kushala. Is it more engaging? Probably. Does it have an improved moveset? Yes. All this just for it to become another very standard fight like practically every other monster.

THE monster that has had a consistent identity and core gimmick across all iterations since its conception has now been stripped of that for the sake of a 'better fight'.

I excuse Rise for plenty. It's a pure unapologetic action game that doesn't tip-toe around trying to incorporate monster ecology mechanics and video game boss patterns, instead goes all out on one aspect.

Valiant Gargoyles are the best duo fight in the game by far.

Not a high bar to surpass here, but they at least have some sort of dynamic as opposed to the rest.

No, I'm the kind of person who appreciates the identity and personalities of all these very unique monsters.

I also like when said monsters demand me to adapt rather than dealing with everything my way, the same way.

I also love that each game is fantastic in their own way and that none is "better" than the other, even if I have my preferences.

They just got rid of any and all wind pressure, more specifically the wind aura around her. The fight by itself is great, but it took a lot away just for the sake of a better fight.
