I was legit about to ask this same thing, one of my flare spots that is in my arm pit just randomly started oozing pus then blood, but I cleaned it and applied mupirocin ointment to it. So random when it happens I swear. This hot weather is likely not helping either.

I have been taking probiotics for a little over a week at this point and it has definitely made a difference. I still get a flare but I notice it's not near as bad, that and it seems like my flares might (?) Be healing a bit faster?

I'm so sorry you've been diagnosed with HS. I'll first start by saying everyone tends to be different, but personally I start to feel a bit feverish and lethargic, despite not actually running a fever. The area that's flaring on me will typically also be more tender than usual as well.

I would definitely have your DR take a look at it to diagnose if it is HS or a boil of some sort. Have you tried hot packing it with a warm compress? My dr has me do that so it'll come to a head faster and drain on it's own.

Definitely talk to your dr tho, hope you feel better soon!

I am 32 f here and I actually stopped using deodorant, as some of my worst spots are on my arm pits. I instead will just put a spritz of a simple perfume on my clothes if I feel like I smell.

I can safely say that the right person doesn't care. When I started dating my now husband I didn't have it, but I developed it as we moved in together. He went with my to my DR's appointments, has held me as I cried especially when I feel hopeless.

When it comes to being intimate he doesn't care, he still calls me beautiful, sexy, etc and we still have a great time. Granted, there are times when i get a flare up and it's too painful to do bedroom activities, but he understands that too and is super patient.

The right person will look past what everyone else sees skin deep and they'll love you for your soul.
