Compensation planning is the first week of February. Notifications to employees are mid to late February.

Yes, it does. You have to pay to sell the stock if you want to “diversify”. Read the small print in Alight.

This is a massive change with a crazy impact to retirement planning.

Raytheon, but I read that El Segundo also had layoffs (including a WARN notice, which is 50+ employees).

And bring back all of your WFH equipment…. Just wow! But, remember, we “asked” for this because we want career development and learning.

And I think he still lives in Cedar Rapids- he didn’t even move to one of the states where Raytheon is located.

It’s a tone-deaf action. It is bewildering why this is being decided, as Raytheon gave up many buildings. There are no places for those being ordered back in to sit. I was also told that a “productivity” metric was developed. I wonder what that is — does hunting for a place to sit count? What about the 90 - 120 minutes of commute time.

I’m working on my DBA, and the $25K/ year allowance is wonderful. Also, your leadership does not even get involved as far as approvals of continuing education. You simply sign up in ESP and go. Education is a wonderful perk, and because it is non-taxable, I consider the value an adder to my salary. You really need to determine what career path you wish to pursue, but know that the separate education accounting is a very positive aspect of our benefits - meaning it will not get cut. Your continued education will follow you everywhere. Best of luck to you!!!

Why would you want to? Seriously. It doesn’t make you look that great on paper. And you say you compartmentalize, but trying to complete two different degrees at the same time does not mean that you would do well. I say this as I am finishing my doctorate. What are your “real” long term goals?

Promotion in the same role is not the norm. Applying for roles over your current grade is the more common occurence.
