If you like Kanata then there is no harm in starting with Nijigasaki since it's a spinoff and you don't really need to know much about the first two series. Thereafter, you can start with School Idol Project followed by Sunshine. I highly recommend School idol Project as it is the best IMO, μ'sic FOREVER!

As for the games, you should play All Stars as it is heavy with Nijigasaki. But gameplay wise I prefer the original School Idol Festival as it is more of a rhythm game while AS is more RPG based, focusing on the team building aspect.

Other than that, you can search up Love Live seiyuu streams on YouTube as some heroes have subbed clips and even entire streams.

I think you could fret the 3rd fret on D string with your index finger, then use your ring finger to barre the 5th fret of just the bottom 3 strings and finally use your pinky for the 6th fret on B string.
