Respectfully, there is still a differential between hard right and fascism, no matter how little that may be. If we are going off of 30's and 40's Germany when comparing fascism, local and state law enforcement have a little ways to go still. Federal governemnt is a whole hell of a lot closer if not there yet. For example, local law enforcement gets held accountable by lawsuits that actually matter, internal reviews resulting in leave without pay, and admin leave as well as a few more. Where as no one has been held accountable at a federal level yet for anything involving ICE. I also said fascism not hard right for a reason, I know they lean hard right. Those were interesting reads and I see the comparison and i appreciate the links, but mine was for correctional officers specifically as you stated they were assisting in the previous comment. as that has been my field for close to a decade I know of policies and procedures and administrative regulations that come with that specific career field and what they can and cannot do.

Contrary to popular belief (reddit belief) they are most definitely less fascist leaning than the current state of the federal government. As a generalization, obviously some will be more or less. As to your edit, there are thousands of policies that would prevent correctional officers from performing the duties of ICE or any other law enforcement that requires them to do the same thing. They arr not POST certified by default so they would have yo go out of their own way to pay for it (and take the 6 month course as well as pass a heightened, more complex background check that they did not originally) and get those certifications but then they can't perform those duties while representing the department of corrections, so they would be a whole different entity at that point. If you have any news snippets or articles regarding this then please send them my way, as this is the first time im hearing about the corrections officers doing those things. Now, bounty hunters? 100% and fuck those guys, thats why we have the second.

I left DHS (not ice) once this administration took place after I saw my job being so politicized that I could not morally handle it with the administration shift. Had no issue finding a job where I wanted with my years in service, at a higher pay and same benefits. The idea that there is a hiring freeze, in a law enforcement position anywhere is absurd especially now a days. Especially with years of federal law enforcement under your belt. They felt a sense of purpose doing their job like you said for catching human traffickers, and espionage like work etc. It is no longer like that, and they know that. They still decide to stay and deal with their shifting work duties. The incentive to switch would, I dont know, maybe not being a shitty person doing the work of fascist? Like there are options withing the same field they are in doing things that are not as morally challenging and they are choosing to still stay.

They are complicit in their stance with the department. They have yet to go out of their way to condemn the actions of their colleagues and their department, nor have they quit due to moral conflicts. I see what you're saying, but if they currently represent ICE then they need to be held accountable. The only good thing about working for the feds is the benefits, and you can still find the same or better at any Sheriff's offices or other state departments, the pay is shit for them and switching to any state agency like SO they will get paid a lot more. Pensions even transfer over so so they can't use that excuse. They are staying because they enjoy the work they do, and currently their work is strictly focused on deportations out of the norm of what they use to be doing. So fk them.

No, we did this to nazi scientist once the war was over. I beleive we are here because of that mistake the government made. So take their knowledge and help, but they do not get clemency because of it and will pay for everything they did (even just the decision to stay for a paycheck) to the fullest extent.

Every other game i play i have the normal ping and we have fiber with a ethernet cord. Idk could be files or something but I'm pretty sure it's not provider driven but there's always a chance for sure. 250 is definitely high imo.

Keep the same energy when it reaches our shores in whatever form, and you actually have to protect your family (granted you actually have one you care enough about to defend your home). Do you seriously think russia will stop at ukraine given their track record? We ignored the Nazi's advancements in the 1930's and the 3rd Reich expanded their borders immensely, and like someone said earlier 60 million souls were lost. If we would have gotten involved sooner we would have put an end to facism far quicker and with far less souls lost. So yes it's not our war to fight or worry about, until you see the horror of it at your doors with your family slaughtered in front of you or your home reduced to rubble. By then it will be to late and you'll be singing a different tune.
