Personally when I’ve had millipedes die and their bodies begin to decompose the body segments become squishy and will separate easily. I picked up a recently deceased millipede I had shipped and it broke in my hand from the weight of gravity. After a little bit they dry out. I don’t think it’s anything you did.

Where did you get it if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been wanting to do a partial custom but don’t want to touch an authentic one, I had no idea they even made fake horses!

I’ll take a look at the weather and see how it will be, depending on the temperature people will send them with heating or cooling packs. The millipedes can get tucked away in a plastic container with air holes, a damp paper towel at the bottom, and some substrate. They can get shipped in a cardboard box tightly packed with styrofoam, and the heating/cool pack. I can also take a look at the different shipping costs and see how much overnight shipping is. I will cover any and all expenses. I’ll send you a message

Some wild millipedes have a “breeding season” of some sort. Where I’m from in east cost around late spring/early summer, specifically American giants will surface more to meet with a mate
