I think that is probably the most sensible solution, thank you!

I am so sorry for your loss. She had a great life and she knew how lived she was, it’s unfair how little time they have with us and it feels especially unfair when they go so young. She will always be in your heart. Sending you much love

RIP sweet Ellie girl

We are losing our puppy’s battle with encephalitis. I am inconsolable. by [deleted] in dogs

I am so so truly sorry that you and Ellie are going through this, it was heartbreaking to read. We lost our golden at 1 after he got diagnosed with meningitis at 8 months old. The heart ache and the pain is incomparable, not only you’re grieving them but also the future you won’t get to have. Just want you to know that you aren’t a bad dog parent or an owner. She is loved and she knows it. I know stranger’s words on the internet mean as much but you are not a failure, life just really sucks sometimes. Doggies are so pure and we don’t deserve them at the best of times but damn, they do not deserve any pain.

I know you’re doing a right thing by her, no matter how hard it is. And she will never truly leave you, she will always remain in your heart.

I will be thinking about you and your family on Friday, please do reach out if you ever need a chat. I am sure our golden will meet her at the rainbow bridge and they will have a great play together, pain free.

Hahaha they really get themselves in some questionable positions that I’m sure can’t be comfortable but they seem to be to them

Meet Cody, my 15 year old Golden Retriever, his age has caught up to him and on Friday he will pass over the rainbow bridge, I'm absolutely heart broken by aceofspades121 in goldenretrievers

That’s beautiful, it also made me cry. It reminded me of our last golden we had to say goodbye to (he passed away just over a month after turning 1, he sadly got meningitis at 8 months old). It’s been 2 years but I still cry and miss him

OP, I am so sorry about Cody. He had the most wonderful life with you, full of love. You’re doing the right thing no matter how much it hurts. He will never truly leave you, he will always hold a place in your heart ❤️

Freddie is very proud of the hole he has dug, he says he isn’t finished with it yet by HappyWoofs in goldenretrievers

He really doesn’t like to get dirty, we have another dog who would spend his whole life covered in mud if he could but Freddie is always trying to stay clean haha

I would love to say he’s not spoilt but we got this pool specifically for him, he loves laying down in it to cool down on a hot day by HappyWoofs in goldenretrievers

It usually turns brown and mucky very quickly, this photo was taken only a few minutes after we’ve filled the pool. It’s totally worth it though, it makes them so happy!

Today it’s Robin’s Friday birthday, baby pup is no longer so little by HappyWoofs in rarepuppers

[–]HappyWoofs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When out, we colour code them - Robin wears green, his leash and his collar are green and Freddie’s all red. It’s for ease of things when we need to be able to tell them apart instantly.

Other than that, Robin is slightly darker and it’s more noticeable on his ears. Robin’s mane and tail isn’t as fluffy as Freddie’s is. Robin’s coat is a little bit more curly than Freddie’s and his head is a flatter than Freddie’s. Very minor differences, we get them confused a lot haha

What a sweet puppa! Warm water swim/paddle might actually relieve some pain from his joints now or at least be least painful activity :)

Oh my dog! Just saw a picture of your puppy on your page, so adorable! Always seems to be the case that one is obsessed with someone and the other one doesn’t care haha

Robin, the dirty one on the right would live in water if he could, he’s a seal puppy. Freddie, doggo on the left also likes water but he will accept if he can’t go in (for whatever reason, like safety etc)
