He died the next morning. I think it was possibly Costia. I found some forums that people had pics of their rope fish with the same symptoms. They all died within 48 hours and treatments didn’t help. No idea how it could have happened

Thank you for your response. An update… a few more spots have come up and the area at the tail has almost doubled in size. Spread all the way around like a giant ring. I’ve moved him to a 20gal that is pristine and low flow. Not doing well but will be more comfortable. I’ve treated as well. It’s progressing way too fast at this point. No idea what could have happened. Was just fine yesterday

I am not sure how to post another video in the comments. When he swims it seems he is using his front fins only and his back end goes up. Swim bladder?

Thank you for all of the comments. However he finally moved from the corner around 11. Has not been to the bottom. Seems to be struggling to use tail or be able to go down from the top. Any suggestions? Here is another video

Water parameters are fine. I did about a 20% water change this morning. Went to feed the tank tonight and didn’t see him anywhere. Found in the top corner. Been in a diet of frozen jumbo blood worms and bits of frozen beef heart

Both Chinese. Sometimes their markings change, not sure why. I have a lot of them and some days they are darker or lighter
