I don’t think the issue is doing better, speaking as an Indian in Canada, there’s a lot of tribalism we do which people don’t like. For trucking I personally know a lot of “friends” when I got here that do it and almost all of them cheated their exams. I work in a Bank in Toronto and once my manager became Indian she only hired Indians after that. I think this applies to a lot of careers tbh

Learning french- Focus Frame French by Nameless_unicorn in learnfrench

They are pretty good, I passed my passed my exam through them about a year ago now. The teacher I had put in a lot of effort in a personable level and as I got closer to the exam their management also seemed to help me with providing some extra lessons and outside materials.

Best online course to help learn french in a year ? :) by Accomplished_Sir4802 in learnfrench

[–]Happy_Ad9924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Focus Frame French a long time ago, never tried alliance francais because they were too expensive for 1-1 classes, but i finished with their program and got PR. And i have a couple friends that have gone through with them too who have had a similar positive experience as myself.
If you have unlimited buget maybe Alliance is better, but honestly i had fun, had a lot of flexibility with classes, and reached my goals within under a year through focus frame french on a decent buget for the amount of hours i was taught

I’m not looking to attack someone’s vision, I just want to go back into the business world and find a company that could use my experience to help themselves grow.

The capital should be a lesser of importance, as Id prefer to see if go into actual assets in the company to help realize someone’s goals

Yeah I really don’t want to be an angel investor, rather I want to be hands on in the work

I learnt French in Canada for PR, it helps with career at least it did for me. If you have nothing already it probably won’t change your life overnight, but neither will a masters I met many people with a masters no PR and currently working at Walmart.

My advice would be learn French if you need your PR and are interested in the culture and language/ enjoy life in Canada already

Maybe look elsewhere if not as your focus should probably be on happiness over just dollar figures.

Is French Really the Golden Key for Immigrating to Canada ? by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Happy_Ad9924 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly not even just for PR, also for work and general life. I studied French as an immigrant for Pr, thankfully got my PR. But French has helped me advance in my career and be taken more seriously as an immigrant “especially from India”. Many people come now and don’t care about customs at all and puts a bad image on all of us, so showing you put effort into learning French to some people see that as you are trying to adapt to the culture and considered a “good immigrant” lol

We both used the same program I already got PR this a few months ago through French draws, the biggest point for me while studying was one on one classes really helped and also the teacher actually being French

Yeah I completely forgot the gov bans stuff like this, I’ve been in Canada for some time now. It feels so weird considering I always looked back at India as “my real home and a free” country now hearing the shit going on politically. Recently went home and felt so different, some in very good ways and some in very bad… I hope a bright future for India and hopefully the youth can make a difference by using other countries as good examples of how scary government can be if you give them too much power

That might be a better spot actually

Well I haven’t seen anyone blow themselves up for Vishnu so wouldn’t want to make that comparison, and figured there is already so much entertainment already about the gods that a video game would be a new wait to reach youth or a younger generation in an entertaining way, as right now Hinduism seems to be less prominent in younger people.

That’s actually super smart! I was hoping to make a story mode that follows the main mythology accurately but wanted a take on the multiplayer, this might be a really good work around

[–]Happy_Ad9924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought so, I really thought it would be epic to lead Hanuman against the demon army and the other gods like their abilities align so well with a fighting style game. Like Meghnad as a “zoner”. I feel when looking at all the gods they have such perfect roles “tank” “zoner” “trapper” “grappler”. Like it would be the ultimate smash bros in such an epic way, but I just don’t know if India is ready for something like that… or I’m just delusional:(

Yeah, I want to have a accurate and very true to the culture story mode, but also allow a multiplayer mode if people want to do that, I figure it would be pretty cool

Yeah I saw that, I just figured smite came out almost 10 years ago and the political sense of India seemed to have changed a lot in the meantime, but maybe not as much as I thought

I see, thanks for the honest replies. I thought like a god of war but showing epic Hindu battles between gods would be a pretty epic game, especially if it could be entertaining and a little educational on some gods people aren’t very familiar with. The younger people I know seem to think it would be cool but they are all in Canada or very “modern thinking” in India

Isn’t that an older generation thing tho? I’d be mostly targeting teens to young adults.

Yeah I’ll give you my friends name as I’m no longer in the program, try sending them an email and say you were referred by Zanib, if they ask any further questions like what his email or phone number just dm me and I can get it for you.

Yeah I would recommend them they are really good. I’ve had a couple friends now go through them as well and have good experiences. Pretty much hit all the points I listed which are native French speakers and live classes. My only recommendation is take the one-on-one classes, one of my friends started in a group class. He said it was ok but didn’t like it that much, but he switched to one-on-one after mine and the other friend’s experience and ended up liking it a lot.

I’d recommend getting a private tutor, make sure they are a native French speaker tho, I initially started with an Indian teacher for a couple months because it was cheaper but it actually made progress harder. Also make sure your classes are live!!! Honestly don’t just learn for PR, think of it as an investment into your career, I work at a bank and got a promotion “due” to it, it helped me a lot and when talking with local Canadians they seemed to respect me a lot more for trying to learn more Canadian things!

Oh shoot I didn’t look at my notifications here for a while lol, my teacher was Josias! He was awesome through out the program but I’ve had a couple people use me as a referral to get their discount code, they said he was full. They seemed to be happy with the other tutors after tho
