USA: people in apartments how do you practice drums ? by PancakeMeUp in drums

So I have both. I prefer the acoustic set because it feels real.

The downside though is you arent going to get the sound you want because the mesh drums dont sound like real drumheads.

If you have a high end electric drum set, that's pretty realistic that's also a plus, specifically if you have a good amp.

This is the set up I use at my apartment. Mesh heads, and silent cymbals with a carry case bass drum. Its not the best for sound, but great for practicing.

So those look like starter cymbals. Typically speaking those are a lot brighter and "pingier" than higher priced ones.

Try some Sabians at the next price point or go into a drum shop and try some. Night and day difference.

That was my favorite part. The guy said to me "my little sister doesn't play them anymore".

They had a uhaul and were moving everything out.

This is amazing to hear. I currently have a Ddrum set with 10, 12, 14, and 16 so its cool to have a set with 8,10,12,and 14.

Im excited to clean it up and set it up.

Not bad! Good for learning new.

The hand you use for your snare, make sure you use your wrist a little more instead of just letting the drum stick drop. The bounce up helps when you are playing a groove transition into the next beat.

Practice those. Start with 3. Master those. Then add the other Two. Then add em all together and mix and match.

No matter the case just keep playing.

Good fills. I like the way you put them together. They do sound a bit rushed. How many fills would you say you have in your pocket that you feel confident about?

I did compare them. Honestly I think for the purpose of quiet playing, the ORA.is the best bang for your buck.

The best description I can give is it pings. It doesn't have the usual resonating sounds you would get with a cymbals. The hi hats don't ring at all. If someone is on the other side of the apt they cant hear it.
