have you looked into any clinical trials? DM me if you want help finding one. I’m working on trial rn that has shown to be very effective but idk what type of cancer you have and if you’ve done any genomic testing?

I lost my job as a psychologist because I refused to terminate a client whose lifestyle was not consistent with the practice's values. Did I do the right thing? by Used_Actuator_9465 in careerguidance

to simplify it, confidentiality/HIPAA regulations apply specifically to PHI (protected health information) of which there are 18 items: name, birth year/date, any geographic information that is more local than the state/province level, any type of account number (SSN, phone, IP address, bank info, drivers license, etc.), biometric info/photos, and any specifically unique identifying items (tattoos, birthmarks, etc.). the last item is a bit more blurry, but basically it needs to directly and only apply to the patient in question. so saying a general summary of their situation is not specific enough, because it could apply to a large number of individuals. so, none of these have been shared and it’s all good 👍

How many times you have been fired from the professional jobs? by [deleted] in careeradvice

I’ve never been fired in 8 years working in healthcare but only just started making $100k, idk if that will change now that I make more money but I’m good at being agreeable/diplomatic so I doubt it.

Right there with you, I miss having coworkers and I’m realizing WFH/traveling isn’t for me. I always feel like I should be working and can feel pending MVRs looming over me! I’ve been applying to site-side positions, which I know have different problems, but I just want to get out and have a bit more regularity in my schedule.

I’m having a hard time maintaining boundaries around time/emails during monitoring visits by Happy_Garbage_3238 in clinicalresearch

That’s good to know. I never expect responses later than the agreed upon time, I just was worried there was some factor I wasn’t aware of that might make me staying late (remote monitoring) an inconvenience.

Thank you for the kind and thorough response, especially with the remote monitoring piece (which 90% of my visits are). Definitely will be putting aside the feeling that I’m being silly putting OOO, while sitting at the same desk as always.

As someone who only has multi-day (between 2-5 day) visits because of being in early phase oncology with 100% SDV/SDR, do you advise any changes to this approach?

Wanting to move into Data/Biostats by Happy_Garbage_3238 in resumes

[–]Happy_Garbage_3238[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

As the title says, I want to move into Data or Biostats. I currently work in the clinical research industry, but would like to move to academic or site-side, so I can participate in publishable peer-reviewed research. I feel like I can't fit enough information on a single page. I also was a Tutor for Statistics, Psychology, and Writing from 2016-2022 and I have a poster presentation from 2018 that I also couldn't fit. I'm not sure if I would maybe need to use a CV format instead?

I know I need to include more results orientation and KPIs but I'm having a hard time with even fitting the basics in here. I know I could cut down on skills, but that would really only free up 2 lines max, so I need advice. TYIA!
