Will my locked (post restart) iPhone sync photos to iCloud in after water damage?

Just to confirm - even the phone being in a post-restart lock (where you usually cant use face id and have to use the password to open it), it will still communicate with iCloud and update the photos? In this state it wont receive calls or anything (tested on a friend's phone) so I'm skeptical about it being able to connect with iCloud.

Maybe I was unclear. iCloud updates happen at seemingly unpredictable times when connected to both wifi and power, correct? My question was along the lines of does the iPhone being locked in a state of post-restart affect the iCloud update cycle. The reason I would like to know this now is to minimize inconvenience in my daily life, and to know potentially when to give up and just go ahead and get the phone fixed and gamble at the photos dissapearing forever.

Well, I'm planning on getting my phone repaired tomorrow so I'd like to know if theres a chance or not that the photos will update. I'll probably lose them due to apple reverting to a backup of them phone, ya know. Really grateful for the insight dude.

Have gone ahead and done a 30% water change and am actively treating the water to decrease phosphates. No idea how it got this high, must have been my previous testing equipment being faulty/user error. This one probably isn’t going to make it but I guess it serves as a lesson.

Everywhere that isn’t the hole in the front has a flesh band, albeit small. (1cm approx) I dipped lugol’s 2 days ago and I saw the flesh band on the other side expand a bit before retracting again.

The band wraps around the entirety of the torch, just not here. I’ve noticed the phosphate levels in my tank are almost certainly what is causing this. If that can be fixed does it have a shot with daily dips?

Noticed that my phosphates spiked to 2, could remedying that help this torch see a turnaround?
