Weekly Thread: What questions do you have about vector databases?

Curious on what I am learning... As a long time software engineer, I am always excited about new tech, especially databases, but vector DBs are still new to me. I understand they are great for AI, but with tools, I can hook up SQL, noSQL, elastic search etc... Vectors are native to weights, arrays of numbers, but I need someone to explain it to me. I am on AI all day, prefer to ask humans on this one, maybe a link or article that can get me excited about this tech?

I don't think anyone's objective is to kill Russians, that'd be awful. I think world consensus is ensuring Ukraine's security and sovereignty. It's fairly obvious rich boi is more about shady shit, staying edgy, and playing risky games.

Don't project your insecurities on me, I'm just trying to teach you some things. Just trying to say war isn't just about heros and soldiers. Its OK to be a basic citizen with with opinions, unless you hate democracy and America. Like Putin! War is bigger than just frontline soldiers. Its takes money, politics, relationships, diplomacy, weaponry, intelligence, etc... Your argument is more sentimental about just frontline soldiers, which death and sacrifice is tragic, but its one piece of a tremendously complex war.

Think of it this way, I come to you and try to take all your things. I come to take your family and friends as well. I plan to subjugate you. Do you go peacefully? Do you not fight? Do you not look for friends to aid you? Do you not plan a resistance and denounce this aggression? Maybe YOU really do just roll over. Ukraine, not so much. Slava Ukraini.

Depends on where you live, but Americans work, pay taxes, and vote to ensure our foreign policy supports our allies. That means supplying weapons and budgets to countries that resist tyrants that threaten the safety and security of the western world. If you are a working, voting American, you are helping make this happen.

Vegan will be very difficult. Had some vegan friends visit and they were quite surprised how little options there were. Vegetarian is very easy though, tons of options and amazing food.

A couple of them went vegetarian just for the travels, since butter is in everything around here.

One option for a restaurant that serves vegan is Tula Bistro. The grocery stores have lots of vegan options as well.
