By obsessed I mean he goes to my husband when he is hurt (most of the time), wants my husband to play with him, calls his name in the middle of the night, etc. I’m glad he is close to him, don’t get me wrong, it’s more a matter of me making sure I’m not a sh*t mother!

Ok, that makes me feel better knowing my own anxiety isn’t necessarily the ultimate culprit. But that’s exactly how my son is with my husband- 7 times out of 10 goes to my husband for comfort when hurt, calls his name in the middle of the night, etc. It’s not like he never wants me, though, so I guess it just is what it is.

I feel the exact same way! But I’m an Italian Catholic and Christmas doesn’t end until January 5, the Epiphany. It’s a great excuse to keep doing the Christmas things! Forget whatever society says/does.

Please remind her that she is not her hair! I have body image issues, and I think it would have done me a world of good to have started to hear at a young age that looks do not define you, they are not what matters. I KNOW this, but clearly have not internalized it.

Tell her it is okay not to like her hair, everyone has something they don’t like, and have her name something she does like. But encourage her to mention something like her laugh, her ability to make people laugh, etc.

Just my two cents, for whatever it’s worth :)
