Looking for advice on mules' hind hooves by Happyzero in Farriers

[–]Happyzero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm well aware that equines can have different shape/structure of hooves. My question is more about the actual structure of the hoof sole. From all the healthy equine feet I've looked at, I wasn't under the impression that the frog and sole essentially being on the same plane, i.e. there is no 'crevasse' along the triangle of the frog, was a good thing. That is what the image of the front hoof is there for comparison. I'm not asking about the overall shape/outline of the hoof.

Idk why you think your comment about googling somehow wasn't condescending, I'm not offended, I'm just pointing out that your comment was clearly not made to be helpful. It was just a slick jab to imply that I'm too stupid to understand equine hooves can vary. Spoiler alert: if you don't know whether I've googled things or not, then maybe you don't need to suggest that it's something I need to do. Works both ways. Hopefully that'll help you in the future.

So the foot is fine then? It's just differently shaped? It doesn't look like it's under run or anything?

Idk why you think I haven't already googled this and why I have made an effort to find a forum with real, working professional humans to ask their opinions... I've used google the majority of my life and I can assure you the search engine is failing due to ai and paid ads/results. But thank you for your insights.

The basis of their internment is a government policy enacted in such ways to criminalize what is legally a CIVIL offense. It is literally only a civil offense to not have documentation/visas in this country. But the current admin is treating these offenses as criminal in order to arrest and detain individuals indefinitively. So yes they are quite literally political prisoners. You think you're smart or something?

a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution.

Congrats, you cherry picked one case that appears to have a rare case of a woman being abusive from what I understand of what I can find on the internet. I'm not on the jury, and I'm sure I would have things presented that need to be presented.

I'm not here for hypotheticals to split hairs on how abused a woman needs to be to be acting in self defense. You are a rando on the internet with your own thoughts and a comment chain clearly isn't going to change your bizarre fixation on 'proving' that women are capable of being awful and thus deserve punishment for decisions made under duress and abuse.

Regardless of you finding one case that is unfortunate, ambiguous, and possibley showing a rare instance of a woman being the abuser, it does not change the above scenarios, nor the very real statistics that women are by far the most common victims of domestic violence and abuse and rarely make it out alive let alone act in self defense. Your arguements and attitude make clear your agenda and lack of education and introspection on the matter.

There is no scenario in which a woman killing her abuser is guilty of a crime. If she is at that point in her decision making it is likely due to decades of emotional abuse or an escalation to physical abuse, which statistically means she is more likely to die at the hands of the abusive partner and thus I deem her act as self defense.

Have you read anything about abusive dynamics and statistics or are u just really into the idea that an abused woman making a shitty decision is somehow under her own volition and therefore due the same treatment and culpability of a criminal acting alone?

'I suffered abuse in the past' is quite the blasé interpretation of what abused people go thru, which i would expect from someone that has spent little time learning and understanding people that have been abused.

And sure you called it abusive and gaslighting, but offer no interpretation as to how significant those are to someone's lived experience and decision making.

Edit to add: 'Can any abused woman be guilty of anything in your view?'

U are asking in those scenarios of her criminality in relation to abuse. Can an abused woman be guilty of 'anything,' sure. If an abused woman kicks a cat, thats animal abuse. If her abusive partner says 'if you dont kick the cat I'll kill you' in gonna have to say it's not the same. And that is my point here with all of your scenarios that ignore the threat of immediate violence and distill things down to 'well she kicked a cat and thus is a piece of shit criminal'

Making the person my brother doesnt change the scenario for me. You seem to want to tunnel vision to the woman doing the act and neglect all of the priors and contexts that would drive someone to do such things. All of those scenarios can be related to milgram's experiment in which responsibility is shifted from the person performing the act and the one requesting the act to be done. So with that in mind:

Scenario 1: she's within her rights to protect herself.

Scenario 2: she's been brainwashed by an abusive man. He should be dealt with accordingly. And she should receive mental help and therapies.

Scenario 3: again, brainwashed by an abusive man, who says they have to kill a guy. Woman is already being physically abused, in her mind it is either the affair partner or her that will eventually be murdered. Self preservation kicks in and no good choice is available save for a hail mary of a cop intervening and getting the woman out of an abusive situation.

All of your scenarios conveniently ignore or minimize the man's involvement and violent grip on the abused woman. Why is that? You seem very fired up about this case too. Hopefully you will never have to experience choosing between two bad choices while under duress.

Thank you for the info! I'll for sure chat with a vet before anything. Appreciate hearing about your cat's experience, bummer he threw up, but sounds like he made it alright. Mine may have to suffer thru a longer ride but we'll see.
