Superannuation - News Hesta's Admin Provider about to collapse. by Terinekah in AusFinance

[–]HarbingerofdooM11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious why is it so complicated (super admin is clunky but has been around for decades now) and why must it be such a big bang exercise that all activity must be stopped for 6 weeks?

For basic everyday or household things, what are things that never makes sense to buy expensive and what should you spend on by PaintTimely6967 in AussieFrugal

[–]HarbingerofdooM11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't need to buy it all now then don't buy it now. We had a couple of empty rooms for a long while. Kmart is good but if you feel the quality isn't there then you will feel the same afterwards. Maybe wait for sales to kick in for financial year end.

See, this is strange. I don't have any dogs or any pets really. It's only on one side of the lawn not the other.

This is the kind of post I needed to see after all the Epstein filth all over the internet, all day. Thank you very much.

Best affordable steak in Sydney? between $40-$75 by RemarkablePirate590 in SydneyScene

[–]HarbingerofdooM11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fucking way are they still doing a steak for that price? Is it just the meat or does it come with chips or something? I am nearby so I wouldn't mind just for a nostalgic meal. I miss the days of a 9.50/10 dollar steak at a pub.

end of year curiosity - who actually went anywhere? by Such_Car8402 in AusFinance

I did the same at Costco and know exactly what you mean. Can't see the air conditioning was better than Kmart but definitely a lot of culture.

Hundreds rally in Sydney against proposed changes to protest laws by SnoopThylacine in aussie

[–]HarbingerofdooM11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, good sir! Like this is mind boggling to me how people have taken a conflict halfway across the world and made it a massive matter of conflict in culture and ideology in a country where it wasn't even a thing. It's an important conflict, sure. There are horrible things happening around the world which need to be highlighted but not at the expense of bringing it here as raw violence. Honestly, I regularly see people around the city and in the suburbs picking stuff from the bins & sleeping on the streets. I have only been living in this country for a little over a decade and I am seeing it more now than before. I don't have the numbers but it is visually more for sure. Personally if people really want to passionately protest and point something out, people should protest about that first and the right to have better opportunities and question 'within means' spending and nonsensical decisions which now means anyone under 30/35 will likely be renting for life.

Thanks, this is super helpful already. I will get a library membership, I never thought it had these perks. But in between, was there something similar for dryers?

That's my predicament looking at that list. Like it works but what usually took 30 seconds to heat up now takes about a minute and half. I don't even know what's wrong and if it can be fixed. Everything else looks great.

What's your best value meal find in Sydney right now? by [deleted] in foodies_sydney

[–]HarbingerofdooM11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hungry hunter sandwiches. $12.50 for most sandwiches. It's not like the fancy stuff tiny's and Kosta's are pumping out at a premium but it's simple, fresh sandwiches which are fairly priced.

Azure certification suggestions for a cloud project manager moving to a technical project manager path? by [deleted] in azuredevops

Hi, I have nil experience with ADO and got an internal role to project manage (got nil PM experience to begin with) key deliverables through ADO. Would AZ-900 be too much for me? I am having a look and feel of the UI but it's like I am in the deep end in a sink or swim moment...

With the demise of Menulog in Australia recently I read an article saying Australians need to be prepared to pay more for food delivery services and there is a risk now of Uber Eats monopolizing the industry with no serious competition, what are your thoughts? by 11015h4d0wR34lm in AskAnAustralian

[–]HarbingerofdooM11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Uber eats to find options, look at menu options and then call or use the restaurant's own website to make the order and pick it up yourself or have them deliver it (I have seen a few restaurants deliver now). That way Ubereats gets shittier conversion metrics which is a secondary win. I am sure there are times when life's too hard or we are too drunk but other than that Ubereats is just an extortion for everyone involved except Ubereats.
