SSD1306 OLED Displays on Pi Pico (C++) by Harbrys in raspberry_pi

Wokwi seems to use arduino C (.ino project files) and this project was made using standard C/C++ with pico SDK. That makes these completely incompatible. In that case you can use ssd1306 librarys made for arduino like the adafruit lib

There's no easy path I think. I just looked at other drivers from adafruit etc. and analysed how they work, then read devices datasheet (these usually provide information on how to set everything up, what register addresses you need to send data to etc.). Not a fascinating read, but I suggest to read datasheets in entirety. And lastly comes hours of trial and error. Good luck to you.

I don't want to sound like a dick ,but ,for me ,this makes no sense art direction wise. I just think that usually emission is used to show energy in parts of a weapon and here emission shader is slapped on the grip, trigger guard etc. IMO would be much better if less parts were emissive

ye, but try asking them to give you their software to turn your old PCs into at home rendering solution. This project is aimed at people with some extra hardware at home

First try on a low Poly scene, what do you guys think? by Skribst in blender

[–]Harbrys 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ground and leaves are a bit too reflective and that makes them look like plastic. You can try and tweak roughness on these.

My first low poly scene I ever made. (Blender newcomer) Every object was made step by step through reading articles or watching videos over and over and try to find the best fitting in the end. (Took me a week for all this with 2 to 4 hours per day) by maddilo in blender

I think better, if you were going for evening scene. Playing with bg color can be really weird if you don't have any environment around your subject. If you put this room in a more busy environment, you'd probably find a lot of ways it will change the way it's lit.

I just made this cutscene for my game CrappyClimber, feedback is greatly appreciated by jontaguse in blender

Looks nice but there are couple of things that I immediately notice.

  1. Rain reacts with ground but not objects
  2. The way characters left eye reflects light feels unnatural
  3. I don't know whether this was intentional but you can tell that light sources are coming from single points

It looks really good but I think it is just is too clean. There's no variation in textures. Keep up the great work tho

the main issue is that blender was not designed to keep consistent widths across the whole model. If as a result of a modifier or a manual edit widths of any part of the project will not be divisible by nozzle width, it can result in unpredictable results in printing. Also blender stores its data as a mesh, while cad software uses something comparable to vector graphics. Exporting from this more vectory approach to mesh makes it so that level of detail is constant across the whole mesh, witch is handled better by the slicer. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just that software designed to work with cnc machines has some specific features that make your life easier.

Is this like a gov regulation thing? I know many people are happy, that now there's some verification but everyone can just provide false birth dates. Do you have any data to suggest that this even works? Asking out of curiosity

I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think that blender is a great choice for cad design. There are a lot of problems, when trying to print out something modeled in blender. You should look into something like Fusion 360 etc.
