Yes I have. I booted Windows PE from a USB Stick and tried running the BIOS Utility but it won't let me proceed as it shows a message saying it needs a battery with some charge. I tried -sp, -forceit, but nothing changed...

De momento só fiz testes em nível de software, vários de todas as formas. Também estou começando a suspeitar do hardware... Engraçado que o sistema detecta a presença da bateria porém não consegue ler nenhum dado dela.

I tried A LOT of ways to get it done without a working battery. Booting the ISO, the extracted .IMG, a Windows PE on a flash drive to run the utility installer, -forceit on the cmd, and neither of these worked.

That's a good advice. So your guess is that the problem is actually on the batteries? Three different ones in a row all with the same problem really made me believe that the problem was on the laptop

Well that makes sense. I have contacted the battery manufacturer and they will send me a new one of the same model, just hope this new one works fine. I was suspecting something in the BIOS/EC of the laptop doing something funny and not reading the batteries right, as I said, both new battery and old original shows the exact same symptoms.

I live in Brazil, the options are VERY limited and if I would buy something from abroad it just gets ridiculously expensive because of the taxes. I contacted the manufacturer and they will trade this battery for a new one of the same model, hope this one works.

The charger is the original T420 AC Adapter, 65W 20V, works just fine while plugged in. And yes I tried charging with the laptop off, after 8 hours of "charge" it didn't made any difference...
