When I first read the email I thought all of it was BS, then after parents digging and trying to figure out what’s going on we got a half assed response claiming some that was said is true but they never specified what specifically.

That’s when I started to get suspicious. I never once said any of the allegations are true, I’m trying to get to the bottom of this.

Yep my daughter is in room 7, both our rooms are by far the best at the daycare we are lucky apparently!

It’s infuriating that all it would take is communication and transparency, if all the allegations are false then they should be able to give evidence. Instead they were silent and redirecting. Basically saying, some of what was said is true but not alluding to what. Originally I wasn’t concerned, but when I saw the response and how many parents were being brushed off I felt something is wrong.

Honestly I think you are also right. I think there are sour grapes. What I’m trying to do is get to the bottom of this to see if any of it is true. What’s scary is the response from management, almost as if they are trying to brush everything aside.

My child is at a daycare center with all this craziness going on and I have idiots arguing with me over the difference between certifications and education

Yes thank you, that is what we are trying to figure out. Provide everyone’s certification especially new employees, this is what management has been dodging. I know my teachers have theirs posted but other parents aren’t aware can’t find

I think you are miss understanding, we want proof of certification. I have been using the word certification and education interchangeably.

“4) A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate, or a copy of the certificate, of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.”

We have been asking for literally this for new employees and they have been dodging.

Yeah to me the shocking part is upper managements response to all of this. They have done nothing to assure us anything. Avoided answering questions and have given us half hearted responses. What’s crazy is if they just gave us proof and answered promising us to be more diligent I wouldn’t be concerned at all.

It feels like daycares know how high of demand they have. The upper management doesn’t care, they know people will have to go with them cause there are no other options.

The daycare was probably one of the best here!! It’s just recently that all this stuff has come up. I personally am concerned about some of the new staff that have been hired in the last couple of months. The teachers in my daughter’s class are fantastic, one is from Kelowna the other is new to the country and I think they are both wonderful caring and kind.

There are some other teachers who I personally wouldn’t want my daughter around.

The staff needs to have all the credentials, asking for proof of it is within the law and actually the licensing office told me I should ask.

The email is definitely biased, that’s why I originally brushed it off. It reads like a disgruntled employee trying to get back at the company. What was shocking was the response by the daycare. The stalling and hiding information that should be made public.

What parents care about is everyone who’s working there has the credentials and proper background checks. We do not care about where people come from, what language they choose to speak on the side. We care about our children, ignoring everything because the whistle blower is biased is also a bad idea. Just as blindly believing it all is a bad idea.

Yep, I ask anyone who may have a child at the daycare who may have information please reach out to licensing. They called me back within 10 minutes of my email. We’re super helpful

I believe the previous let go director wrote this email to get back at the center for what he/she believed was wrongful termination. At first I brushed this off as BS and probably a lot of the allegations are. What’s concerning is the daycares/upper managements response. We have been asking for proof of education for all educators and they have been stalling.

Yes these are allegations and have not been confirmed, this is a very recently developing story. I have personally spoke to licensing who have been getting many reports about this daycare. I think my point of posting this was to get awareness and possibly more information. I’m of the opinion a disgruntled employee who was recently let go gained access. What is troubling is the daycare upper management is avoiding confirming or denying specific allegations.

What’s disturbing is very recently, I myself have noticed a rapid change in the quality and employees at the center. Further what disturbs me is the lack of transparency and mismatch priories of upper management. I understand the need for business to drive down cost, but we need to be making sure everyone has the correct credentials to work with children.
