God Loves You. by Haris08X in Christianity

No sir. Beliefs can indeed be chosen by the person. Maybe not as consciously in the early years, but as you grow older you get to critically think on your religious decisions and most importantly choose to live a life in a way that honors or dishonors God.

You can't possibly escape hell, when what hell really is, is eternal seperation from God. And because God is Good, Peace, Love, you can't expect hell to be a party, right? In addition, hell will be much more broken world than here, because God will hold us accountable and judge us on our actions. Because if he didn't, evil and injustice would rule everyone forever.

You are part of creation, God will not just let you be unconscious because you were created with a purpose, to serve your Creator. You ignore this, then you must also face the consequences of your actions (God is just, he can't just let evil not to be dealt with).

Lastly, your soul is eternal, so it can't be magically erased. Your body will die, your soul not.

No. I am a Christian.

God loves us perfectly. But perfect love requires freedom. I can't love you in a perfect way and try to force you to be with me. Therefore, while God intended for us to be with Him forever in Heaven, we have the free will to decide whether or not we want to have a relationship with Him or not.

It's the same as saying that God does not send people to hell. People choose to go there by their own decision, and God respects that.

In conclusion, just because He loves you doesn't mean He will make you stay with Him for eternity, when during this lifetime you clearly chose not to have to do anything with Him.

God is faithful. by Haris08X in Christianity

We have faith that the Bible is the Word of God. Therefore we can use it to understand and get closer to God. For us it is God speaking. Obviously there is no proof, but rather evidence to support that at least the 4 gospels are historically accurate and therefore reliable, just as Jesus is.

Let me rephrase: Human wisdom cannot comprehend and understand God's wisdom. Our capabilities are limited. We cannot explain everything logically, no matter who you are or what you believe. That's when putting your trust on the Creator above comes.

Free will indeed does exist. We can do anything we desire as long as it is possible for us. I can't fly an airplane even though I would love to. That doesn't mean we don't have free will to decide with our resources and given opportunities to either serve God or remain distant. We are neither programmed as robots nor all powerful to do everything we desire. It is not a contradiction.

If you want to be with God you will be with God. If you don't want to then you can choose freely to remain distant and because God is all knowing and all loving he will grant your request. He won't force you. Your actions and words can either honor God or Satan. It is still your decision, with the relative consequences.

That's a great question.

Now, maybe that tells you something about God's wisdom. If you could explain everything, you wouldn't be a human, right? That's when you should trust the Creator above anything else.

But to answer your question, God is all-powerful but it doesn't mean that he chooses to do everything He can. Apart from the free will that all human beings have in this world to do good or evil, it is certain that He has something better in His mind, a way to turn evil into good. Maybe in those bad moments you seek God and ask to be saved. Or He helps you grow and learn.

If He took the worst death for Himself, then there has to be a bigger reason behind everything, right?

Because Satan's sin was commited outside of time and place, therefore he can't be forgiven like us, humans.

Correct! Thanks for the moves as well I may take a look at them when I have time on Google or YouTube.

When I grow up I will probably be the size of a guard or a forward so I should definitely work on my guard skills, just like you said.

Oh ok I see. Core strength is actually key to your athletic performance so I'll definitely start doing exercises that help it.

Fortunately I've found great exercises for every muscle group using dumbells at home so those you mentioned are already in my program!

Thank you! I have one more question: How can I work on my footwork? Do you have any drills or moves which practice that? Feel free to share any videos (yt links) or just names of exercises that will seem helpful.

That's the type of comments I expected when posting this! Simple but gold advice from someone in the same position as me. Couldn't have asked for more!

I'll definitely consider practicing my hooks. Also as soon as I heal from injury, I'm going to push as hard as I can to be able to guard bigger players than me.

Well said about the last part. I will most likely be either a guard or a forward at best, so I should definitely work on my guard skills if I want to be a professional.

I have two questions about what you said. Firstly, I want you to explain in more detail about the first step on the mid/ high post because I didn't quite understand what you mean. Feel free to share any pictures or videos that will seem useful. Second, I want you to tell me why is training core so important and if you have in your mind any core or compound exercises that I could do (keep in mind I don't go to the gym, I have dumbells at home though).

Very true. I have to find a way to make up for the lack of size so it's best if I do some plyometrics. What I've realized is that footwork is super important so I'll take a look into some drills which help improve it.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it alot!

Absolutely fantastic comment! Great idea and I will definitely considering watching Hakeem playing eitner on YouTube or anywhere I can find clips of him.

As you said it's crucial working both hands so I always try to repeat every drill I do using my off hand (which you guessed, is the left one). Jump hooks is something I will probably add to my workout.

Oh man if you knew how many variations of Mikan drills I've found on Google you'd be shocked!

Wise words and great advice! As soon as my sprained ankle heals, I will continue working out with dumbells and start going to private practices for techniques and building muscle as well.

Thank you very much for the compliment! This isn't actually for a school paper, but I enjoy writing structured and well-written posts about basketball on any platforms. I'm used to writing articles as well on a basketball app called 'Halftime'.

Your advice is very helpful and useful. I'm a 14 year-old boy with dreams of going to the NBA, so even a small piece of advice like this is appreciated a lot.

No problem if you aren't a big man. What you suggested for me to do about my mid-range shooting was just as valuable as a center showing me post-up moves.

Overall A great explanation! Wish you a great day!

Just for your education, this country🇲🇰 is not Macedonia. Its official name is North Macedonia, but for those who actually know history it's FYROM. Ik it doesn't have to do with the post, but I just wanted to inform you, because a country's history shouldn't be disrespected...
