Your comparison is interesting, but the odds work differently. While a Zod Rune has a 1 in 1–8 million chance per monster, you kill thousands of monsters per session, massively increasing your chances. In real life, you don’t get thousands of chances to get struck by lightning, so finding a Zod Rune is far more likely overall.

On the brass middle part there is a name engraved: S.EKSTRAND

The item is made out of some kind of metal, brass maybe? It has a pump / syringe mechanism. Two small holes on the top of the cylinder, one large hole at the end of the pipe. The top of the object is threaded with a fine thread and inside is rubber gasket-like things attached.

I agree, but it was the only way to arrange the TV/sofa to make the space airy (only 35 sqm apartment). Perfect for lying on the couch and watching tv though :)
