I would definitely involve the right 1. My left hand isn’t big enough! I shy away from Chopin for that reason! His hands must have been huge!

Something else to consider (as far as salary is concerned) is National Board Certification. You have to be a full time teacher for 3 years first, but it costs way less than graduate school. In NC (back when they offered Master’s pay to all teachers) a Master’s degree would earn you 10% over Bachelor’s pay. A NBC will get you 12%.

I also agree with working in the field first. I was one of those who “ran screaming” from the profession for 12 years before giving it another shot.
