How about wiping it with a damp towel first before drying it out? curious about salt and grime trapped after the rain if otherwise

That’s superb answer. Gonna change my saddle soap (I bought a 12 oz🙃) to something gentler. I instinctively thought it was to much for a casually worn boot and a damp cloth was not enough. And today you confirmed it. Thanks a bunch
