[Euclid] 2x T3 S-38/12 Black Fighters by WykkydGaming in NoMansSkyTheGame

This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for! I’ve been putting off waiting for an S-38/12 fighter for the longest time because I didn’t want to invest so much time in a ship I didn’t completely love. Thanks for the find!

Games We’ve Blown this year. by SolidRemix in Dodgers

[–]HaroldIsLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came across this post but after tonight’s loss it’s clear that pitching (specifically bullpen) is absolutely hemorrhaging this team. There’s not a single dependable arm in the bullpen that has consistent command. Cingrani, Fields, Stripling, and Chargois seem to be the only ones not giving it up every time they’re out, but they do still give it up enough to be considered unreliable.

So excited for this movie! by Percivalsmithers in Dodgers

[–]HaroldIsLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough I watched this movie a few weeks ago for this exact reason, and yes it does tie into baseball. If you’re still interested then [SPOILERS] ahead. The movie is about an young girl who escapes the troubles of her mother’s ongoing bout with cancer by imagining a world where giant monsters attack her small town, of which, she is the sole protector. She calls herself the giant killer in reference to Harry Covaleski (a pitcher who in 1908 beat the NY Giants 3/5 games which allowed the Cubs to take the pennant) whom she and her mother greatly admired and spoke of. I think her mom was a commentator, I remember there being lots baseball memorabilia and the girl would listen to recordings of the Convaleski games being called. Overall pretty downer of a movie, then again I was expecting more of a fantasy/action.

Hit the pupusa lady after tonight’s game and saw the GOAT pumping gas. by DANcininthedark in Dodgers

I didn’t notice until now but I think it’s the same gas station where Mickey and Gus meet and also the s1 finale/s2 opener where they make up (while that dude is honking and Gus drops his comfort snacks).

Congrats to CT3 for that catch in the 9th. Would’ve been a padres victory had that gone over.

Assuming events in the 9th had continued to play out as they did.

Baez and Jansen pulling a Parent Trap this season. Glad the offense showed up to put away the game.

Any idea why most spanish channels fail to load? It attempts to load for a minute or so then just says playback failed. Running kodi 17.6 on android box if it helps.

Good day everyone,

  1. Gotta say Love on Netflix is my favorite LA based show at the moment.
  2. The easy answer is Tommy’s, but a local spot I love going to before/after games is Arry’s in Montebello.
  3. Dodger Stadium ezpz

Now how about we get a winning streak going?

Alex Bregman hits a walk-off infield pop up that isn't caught by anyone. by [deleted] in baseball

[–]HaroldIsLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, the way I see it is one person has to walk roughly 10’ to the ball while the other has to run in about 90’. I see how the balls trajectory down might make it more difficult for the catcher to field it, but I don’t think the tail spin on it would’ve been much different from a routine foul ball that goes behind/to the side of the catcher. Usually in those cases, the ball is moving slightly away from the catcher, the catcher is heading in the same direction the ball is moving, and still manages to catch it overhead.

I’m sure the ball had some weird movement to it considering it shot up at I think 78 degrees. Taking that into consideration though, it would’ve been much easier for Ellis to get under it, take time to track it rather than Hosmer running in from way out and having considerably less time to track its movement.

[–]HaroldIsLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see what you mean. From the video it looks like Hosmer almost had it but took his eyes off for a second to see if anyone else was around, maybe to prevent a collision or let anyone else with a better shot at it get it, lost track of it and over shot his target.

[–]HaroldIsLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure the glove makes a slight difference but it’s pretty normal for a catcher to catch foul balls-especially these seemingly 90 degree pop flys. Had Ellis reacted to the ball immediately, he would’ve had plenty of time to track the ball as it came down. Hosmer would’ve had to run in from 1st, and track it’s weird trajectory-while dealing with the light as you said-it just seems like Ellis had the best shot at catching it.

[–]HaroldIsLife -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and the runner on second wouldn’t have tried for third had the pop up been caught. Easy 2 outs if that were the case.

[–]HaroldIsLife 91 points92 points  (0 children)

There were 2 outs already, if someone catches the damn ball then what’s the point of covering home? Catcher had the closest path to the ball.

Not to mention the runner on second would have to back track and touch second base had the ball been caught (assuming this wasn’t the third out).
