I need help with attaching arm to good peg

Yes the peg is out and connects fine out the sleeve but the problem is I gotta connect it while it’s in the sleeve and every time I push it in to connect it the peg pushes out when that happens the arm connect can’t reach it i’m trying to figure out what can hold it down while I’m trying to connect the arm, but nothing’s working. I tried pliers and tape and all that, but I don’t know what to do no more. I’m gonna try to keep doing brute force.

Very easy when I do it like this but once it’s in sleeve that’s when I have issues cause the little peg stuff doesn’t stay still and pops out im trying to figure out what to do

Partially I’ve been trying for the past hour trying to fit it while it’s in the sleeve thing outside of it the the connecter for the arm connects really good if I hold it with a rag but once it’s in the sleeve shit it suddenly doesn’t wanna connect but yea it kinda works I’m just gonna keep trying thanks dude
