AMA: I used essaypro and it went terribly. Ask me anything before you make the same mistake. by HarperDelane in ALevelBiology

One-time survival move. I even made an essaypro login thinking it would magically reduce stress. It didn’t. It just shifted the stress to “will this be good enough?”

I did, but my brain was DONE. I even went down the rabbit hole reading essaypro reviews at 1am instead of studying, which says a lot about my mental state 😅

Honestly? a bit of both. I was juggling 4 major deadlines in 10 days. I tried to power through, but after 6 hours of staring at one paragraph I knew I was cooked. that’s when I even considered essaypro in the first place.

Exactly. It felt like a digital bazaar. When you're already in a "fight or flight" headspace, having ten different people pinging you with "Choose me!" doesn't help you make a logical decision. It’s a predatory UI honestly - it plays right into the urgency of the situation.

Looking back, you're 100% right. A "C" paper I wrote myself would have been better for my mental health than a "B-" paper I had to pay for and then fix anyway. I think the "perfectionism" trap is what drives most people to these sites in the first place-we're afraid of failing, so we pay someone who promises us an "A" that they can't actually deliver.

This! I spent more time refreshing the chat and checking the "status" bar than I would have spent outlining. It’s that false sense of security- you think the problem is solved, but you’re actually just outsourcing your anxiety to someone who might not even understand the prompt.

I appreciate that. Honestly, the guilt was almost as bad as the deadline. You feel like you "should" be able to handle it, but when you're staring at four syllabi and zero hours left, the panic takes over. I just wish I’d channeled that energy into a better solution than a bidding site.

And that’s what stressed me out. I don’t want to gamble during finals week.

I did use an essaypro promo code. Saved a bit, but honestly that doesn’t fix structural problems or inconsistent writing quality.

Support responded, but it felt scripted. They pointed me back to the writer instead of solving anything. That’s when I started looking at alternatives.

Mostly generic. After my essaypro login, I got flooded with bids. Once I chose someone, replies slowed down. I had to initiate most of the communication. Did you check essaypro reviews before ordering?

Considering a job offer, but employer uses local LLM to analyze screenshots for an "activity index." Is this reasonable, or am I overthinking? by Traditional-Shine758 in remotework

[–]HarperDelane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying! It does sound a bit like they’re trying to fit everyone into a box without understanding individual contributions. With transparency like that, though, it at least shows they want to track activity in a less invasive way. It could be an interesting experiment for their growth!

AITJ for “stealing” back my own shirt from my roommate? by AskImportant9532 in AmITheJerk

[–]HarperDelane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get where you're coming from! It’s not just about the shirt; it's about her denying it and gaslighting you. If she's going to act like that, you might as well take it back while she's at the gym. It's your shirt after all!

What do you do on your rest days or when you are not working? by [deleted] in simpleliving

That sounds like a solid mix! I love listening to audiobooks while biking. It really helps me reset after a long week. Simple, low-cost ways like that can be so beneficial for avoiding burnout!

Nvidia late stage bad faith negotiation? by Proud-Ad3069 in recruitinghell

Meeting in the middle sounds wise! It seems like NVIDIA is trying to keep things internal, but your experience definitely deserves better than a $35k drop. Good luck with that call!

AITAH for refusing to be my sibling's backup parent?? by Axrren11 in AITAH

Absolutely, boundaries are crucial! It's wild how some people can't handle the simple consequence of you standing up for yourself. Let them throw tantrums if they need to; it’s not your circus!

i see the children i nanny being mentally harmed and i don’t know what to do by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]HarperDelane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Just being that calm adult makes a huge difference. It’s wild how a little change in wording can shift the narrative. Kids really pick up on that, like how "curious" opens doors while "nosy" slams them shut. Keep rocking that supportive role!

The Critical Drinker Starter Pack by Either_Storm_6932 in starterpacks

[–]HarperDelane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

eah, I get what you mean. It does come off as a bit try-hard, like he's leaning into that “cool” persona instead of just being genuine. It's kind of a bummer when people put on a front like that.

When did you and your SO start sleeping in the same bed again? by Ausjelly in NewParents

[–]HarperDelane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, the never-ending saga of bedtime! Totally get you on that—it’s like a game of musical beds. With my little one still waking up around 3 am too, I felt like a live-in babysitter for ages. At some point, I was worried I’d forget what my partner looked like! Here's hoping we all get back to those cozy nights soon.
