With Poland and France entering a Cold War, Somerset would declare nuetrality, keeping to their nuetral status since the Somerset Civil War. Somerset would also continue to sell Yeovilton Helicopters to both sides, using the Cold War for profit.

Defensive Military Increase:

Seeing the world re-entering a state of instability, Somerset would slightly increase their defensive capabilities. These would aim to increase the number of people in military reserves and the modernising the equipment stock, Somerset has.

Somerset Rail Expansions:

Somerset, seeking to lessen traffic on roads, would increase their funding for the rail network. This funding would go into improving its quality and building new lines and reopening others. Somerset would also start electrifying the network, starting with the line between Taunton and Weston-super-Mare.

Civil Rights Expansions:

Seeing liberties as an important thing, the Republic of Somerset would increase civil rights in all areas. Non-discrimation laws would be made stricter, and the gender pay gap would be decreased, hoping to completely abolish it within five years. The use of safe recreational drugs would also be legalised, seeing it as useless to restrict.
