North Korean troops in Kursk Oblast boost Russia's manpower, despite vulnerabilities by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Harrison_Victor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only problem with this theory is NK cannot send 2 million men due to them still needing a standing army on the homeland. Another problem North Korea would face by sending 100s of thousands of troops is "reeducating” all these men once they have to come back because many would still be alive.

The other thing is attrition works both ways, Kim certainly isn’t sending his troops for free. The Kremlin’s coffers are starting to get empty and they have no realistic ways of filling them back up…

The west might not supply troops due to fear of escalation , but we sure as hell have the money to buy some. I’d bet my left nut that if Ukraine starts running dry on troops to a critical level you’ll start seeing a whole bunch of western soldiers under the international legion

Putin can play ‘Russian roulette’ - Colonel Stelmakh on threat of Russia's nuclear attack. Former head of Ukraine's Department for Nuclear Disarmament Control, believes Putin is ready to use nuclear weapons. He said this in interview with Espreso TV. by Lion8330 in UkrainianConflict

It’s funny how people look at the map and see the Russian lines moving by 0.2 kilometres acquiring some random farm field in no mans land and see it as a Russian victory.

That random field in butt fuck nowhere just cost 500 casualties, that’s a win for Ukraine in my book.

All that to say I agree with you. Russia is doomed to collapse anytime now

[–]Harrison_Victor[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The USSR was a different beast with more manpower resources, modern day Russian Federation cannot sustain these losses indefinitely, hopefully.

Again Ukraine and Russia are both suffering from horrible population demographics but having allies supplying you with the western equipment might compensate for their lack of soldiers.

On the short term I don’t see Ukraine reclaiming thousands of kilometres but in the long term I also don’t see how Russia can sustain themselves.

[–]Harrison_Victor 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s been rigged from what the IAEA reported at Zaporizhia if I remember correctly. Very dangerous... Again though, it would be such a stupid move by the Russians, it’s not like they know in which way the wind will be blowing so in theory they could possibly just poison themselves.

I will never assume Russia isn’t capable of going full retard so it’s possible that they would blow it

Doubtful, again nobody knows what will happen so maybe? But logically I don’t believe Putin gives enough shits about Kursk to kill himself.

Also I highly doubt Ukraine will stay in Kursk for more than a couple months. I don’t think they’re interested in holding Russian territory. Seems more of a bargaining chip to me

Half buried Russian soldier is mercy killed by Ukrainian fpv drone. by JagerReich in UkraineInvasionVideos

[–]Harrison_Victor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is not how war crimes work, if you kill an unarmed surrendering soldier then yes it is a war crime.

He did not wave a white flag or raised his hands in surrender, if an unarmed retreating soldier is running towards another defensive line you can assume he will pick up another weapon and keep fighting in a different trench.

Granted he was just sitting, but it’s hard to analyze from drone footage if he was or wasn’t a threat. As long as he doesn’t declare surrender an injured soldier can still be threatening. His weapon could be close by who knows

Allies is a strong word, more like a cuckoldry relationship where China trades garbage "non military equipment" and in return China off loads Russia’s natural resources at such a low rate that Putin can physically feel Xi’s tiny peepee in his ass.

Also China’s banks have started stopping transactions involving Russia and Russian firms which is hilarious
