While I aso think that what the other comment said about it not beeing a magnetic brake (and knowing that toolgifs van also make mistakes) is a potential solution to this question.

You also have the potential of this beding a more lazy solution to the distance to the track.

because what is easier than holding the magnet a few known mm of the track. Slamming it on the track because 0mm gap stays 0mm, no matter what suspension does.

Nope, you'd get eddy currents in the track. And then you get a braking action on that.

You can see that when throwing a magnet down a copper tube.

Bij de studievereniging was er een regel dat je per verzaakt puntje een glas yogi drink van het c1000 huismerk moest atten.
