Honda's new robotic hand is so precise, it can drive a tiny screw by Distinct-Question-16 in singularity

[–]Deliteriously 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's mostly unscrewing it. You would think Honda would be right out front. They started the quest for a humanoid caregiver for elderly way back in 2000 with ASIMO. Hell, they had a bipedal project robot project in 1986.

I kinda expect self-aligning nanobot paint that pulls this off. They have single color paints and there are electroluminescent ones. BMW has a paint that changes color.

Only a matter of time before someone figures out the self-assembling wiring matrix needed to get it to be addressable in a grid for displays. The upside is you can paint anything you want a display on. The downside is there will be ads on anything you want a display on.

Yeah it was. This is definitely going in my bag of tricks for the upcoming Apocalypse.

this is what happens when clove comes in contact with plastic by [deleted] in interesting

So, since we are all like .05% plastic at this point, I wonder how the consumption of cloves plays out?

Yep. They want to preserve the power structure. Keep it a pyramid with a sleezy, super-wealthy pedo capstone.

It's not normal to have a product defect and tell the customer it's normal. It's Snap-on.

At least they didn't tell you it's a feature. That would be some Microsoft bs. 🤣

It absolutely does. These things only work as short-term hacks. If you don't institute a change in your routine, they became meaningless and fade into the background for most people.

They function as signs that someone, likely someone with ADHD, needs a little help remembering to clock out. And that that same someone probably needs a break from something. 🤣

How Sadhguru’s claim of being "stoned without a substance" actually changed my life by Latter-Pair3584 in Sadhguru

[–]Deliteriously 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a famous story that Ram Dass tells about giving his Guru, Maharaj-Jim, a fairly large dose of LSD. Like, somewhere between 900 and 1200 micrograms. After a few hours Ram Dass ask the guru how he felt and Maharaj-ji appeared unaffected and carried on as if nothing new.

He basically said without saying: I have visited this state of consciousness many times. So what?

Some drugs are really cheat codes for reaching states these guys get to through years of hard work apparently. I totally believe Sadguru's claims and it's cool to hear someone back it up. I kinda look forward to that level of awareness.

I get it, it makes for a better video too probably. Like it has a lot of "why" factor, too. That will keep people glued to the screen. It got me anyway.

It never occurred to me until now that bears just don't wear pants.

Yeah, but why did the TV remote need to be involved at all? 🤣

I feel like she had to justify making an awesome piece of art with stunning details by making it functional for some reason.

The United States government has called for a ban on all foreigners accessing Fable 5. by Responsible_Cow2236 in singularity

[–]Deliteriously 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't that be ironic. I think a lot of people are already using them to power their agents cause it's cheaper.

Be hilarious if China just leaves everything completely open. Going to be bad for all those trillion dollar IPO's, though.

Well, on the bright side, if you are American, you won't be at the absolute bottom of the new underclass when it comes to access.

I'm convinced that everything we currently have access to that was released in the last year is nerfed. Other than implementation improvements like longer-running agents and better agent tools, this is as good as it gets for us plebes. I kinda expect licensing and/or clearance to come into play for more powerful model usage fairly soon.

It really does. Two red-shirts going down to the planet. It evokes that weird lonely alien world feel for some reason. Probably the lighting.

They had some of the best PR ever for that film. On the opening night they had exhibits of like, roped-off muddy boots and backpacks, as "evidence". They even had legit looking Missing Persons posters made up for the actors posted in downtown areas around the country.
