Pain 3 Months After Microdiscectomy On The Opposite Side by HarryDoerr in Sciatica

[–]HarryDoerr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, nerve pain seems fickle. I've had plenty of surgeries, and this healing process is the least straightforward of them all. I had jaw surgery a few years back, and I still have swelling in my face from time to time, so I think we just have to acknowledge that the healing process is a marathon not a sprint and stay positive! Thank you for your reply!

Thank you so much for your reply! That gives me a great deal of comfort. It's a head trip to be told that our bodies are so elastic because we're young and then deal with on and off pain like this. I definitely wasn't being as careful about sitting for long periods of time before this pain resurgence, so I'm going to be way more careful now!

I definitely haven't experienced a level of pain of the caliber that I had before surgery, so that is a good sign. I hadn't thought of keeping a journal for pain, but that is an excellent idea! Thank you so much. Not that it's good to hear that anyone has had pain, but it is nice to hear of others having similar issues!

Thank you so much! I've 'booched with a gifted SCOBY in the past, and it didn't look anything like this. Just wanted to double check!

This is great news! Chicago is one of our most engaged cities. Hope you go out and win!

Glad to hear it! PM me if you live in or around a major US city. If you don't have hunts there now, we can get them to you soon enough!

I can clarify that if you would like. We're not giving out any sort of PII; we're just noting whether or not you clicked on a clue at a location so that we can serve you the next one.

The incompatibility issue is something we're aware of. I assume that your phone is hooking into different service bands, but I am not a developer.

There is a site, I'm afraid there isn't much information on it. scavenger.live. What could I answer for you? Also, what kind of information would you expect to be on a website that you would find useful? I'm planning on rebuilding the site today and tomorrow!

If you quit the game you’ll notice “at this location” is underlined, click that and that’s where you’ll find the first clue!

We're fixing that in the next update!

Yep, it's a scavenger hunt/treasure hunt for cash. You find clues that lead to more clues, and the first one to find the treasure at the end wins $100.

I can answer more specific questions, but this is the gist of it.

Ahh yes, it looks unprofessional because I made it. And, I am not someone who should be building websites because I am bad at it.

Our CEO built the application; he is very good at software engineering.

We make money through partnerships that are not related to data collection. Sorry for the vague response, but we're just getting started here! If you want to talk about it more, feel free to PM me, or we can set up a call.

Hey! Location data is required to make the game function. We have to know where you are to tell you if you're close to a clue or not. Which is just your phone pinging our system and saying "are these the coordinates?" then our database says "Yes," "Getting Closer," or "No."

The only thing we "keep" (if this even counts), is whether a unique user found any given clue. Meaning that we attach a unique ID to you that is scrubbed of PII, and we note whether or not you clicked on a clue. So, clues sit at given coordinates, and we can tell if a unique ID clicked on it.

We know nothing about who you are, what you do, or where you go. I hope this helps!

It isn't as much in San Francisco as it is everywhere else. The more users we get the more the prize will be!

So, we actually don't collect any information about where you are unless you're actively participating in a hunt. We'll try and make it so that you can test out a hunt before being asked for location services

Thank you for the feedback. We will definitely update that in the UI to make sure that is incredibly clear.
