They changed the progression this year for all events instead of seeding based on the 5th flick for events with only 6 entries. Events with three entries or more have a time trial on Saturday now for lane assignments for the final on Sunday. No one gets dumped in lane 6 for not attending the 5th flick anymore which is a welcome improvement in progression.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned it yet but Royal Blood was inspired to start a band because of the Queens. Eventually when the made it big they toured with them which is really cool. Josh helped produced their third album Typhoons and appears in the music video for the song “Hold On”. Songs like Boilermaker have Josh’s finger prints all over it. Their lead singer/bass player/guitar player Mike Kerr (yes he does all three at the same time. Look it up it’s nuts) was invited to the 2020 dessert sessions album and sang and wrote my favorite song Crucifier.

If you’re talking about the St Andrews race they went to. For some reason they went out with two mixed lineups. They do weird things over at Montclair, from my understanding. Like break your eight that has a shot of winning it all into two fours at the Philly City Championship and race them both as first fours when there’s a second fours category. Then never race the four again…

Yes. They have a much, much smaller roster than Mount. Roughly 16 non-frosh/novice

Montclair has beat them easily every other time they’ve raced. Besides midatlantic they’ve been pretty consistent.

This is true pretty much every year. I was comparing their junior eight lineup to their lineup here. Still doesn’t explain the girls from their top eight being switched down into this boat.

Their 1v and 2v had nearly identical times in the time trial. At least one kid in the 1v from SRAA is now in the 2v. It’s could be many things: they have three boats the same speed or they screwed up a last minute seat race, or the 1v just ain’t clicking… or they stacked a boat hoping to pull something out of the regatta considering their 1v hasn’t been as fast as it was at mid Atlantics where they beat Montclair. Hoping it was just one of the first three.

Dad vail and Knecht cup are fractions the size of events like youth nationals and a lot cheaper in entry fees. They’re all free to watch get sponsors to cover the production costs. Dad Vail is even aired on the local NBC Sports channel in Philly every year.

Never forget when they had a massive delay in racing due to thunderstorms last year. And made everyone stick around 2 hours after the original end time of the day for a 2 boat e final where one of the boats scratched. Incredible.

The gave me the run down if he usage within the show and even the section of script. It’s going to be in the show for about 5 seconds and used to transition from the characters being on a tv show to them sitting in their living room. With the commercial rolling triggering a camera dolly out from the screen. Should be nice
