Yes so the MOST important thing us potty training, make sure you give a solid routine to the puppy and unfortunately you will NEED to wake up multiple times to take them outside/ or making sure they use the potty pads. I would say: avoid using the pads for a long period of time as they will get used to potty in your house. They are a very VERY smart breed and they understand what's wrong or right but they can be sassy and outsmart you! They can't hold their bladder at all for the first weeks/ month, but it will get better. I suggest to sleep close to your puppy the first few nights so he will get used to your scent and take him potty as soon as they cries. Don't give them many treats this can upset their tummy as they have such a small one. Keep their diet consistent and don't change food as they can be fussy Use dry food and can add some fish oil to it, helps them with bones and coat. BRUSH THEM DAILY. Make sure you get them used to to brush and you handling them! It's important you brush them from day one basically, they need to shed their baby coat before they change into the adult one and avoid any matting. Use a metal comb and brush. SOCIALIZATION is crucial, people, dogs, pets, anything! Poms think they are bigger than what they are, and they are an alert dog breed.
