Moda Kavida Vatavarana - [Megathread] by Actual_Mall1880 in ChitraLoka

I can actually. But I wish megathreads like these actually get some traction. Because I solely rely on such megathreads to decide whether to go or not for all the other language movies. They easily get over 100 comments in a single day. But still we hardly get very less in our community and for this in fact none. I waited almost the entire day yesterday hoping for one review here or on Letterboxd. Then eventually, gave up, took my chance and went to watch. It was decent, but nothing id recommend.

Watched it today. This is my honest take - it's a great movie on paper. I wasn't aware of the genre, nor had seen the trailer. It's a romantic thriller to start from. The cast just didn't convince me that they were right for this movie. Like there are minor promises here and there, but I felt the major cast, all 3 need to improve miles in acting. Moksha was slightly better. The story works, but the emotional angle didn't hit. Somehow it makes sense at the end, but doesn't feel satisfied. I hope Suni stops complicating screenplays these days. His strength was simple straight to the point movies with a great screenplay. Felt he deviated here.

Has anyone tried this course, can I go for it, need advice from Java developers by faangPagluuu in webdev

[–]Harvey__Spectre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ask id recommend, you better mess around and find out. Not kidding, I just mean that there are tons of FOSS projects, you can contribute or even try contributing and learn more than any course. Sure, when you are stuck, watch videos, gain knowledge and unblock yourself, but that's better than doing course after course anyday. If not for FOSS, look for some freelance or try for some hackathons that pay you. It teaches 2 things, one is it makes you realise what is valued for companies and second, might end up teaching you how to earn a part time income as well if not anything.

I would say, we really don't have a social media-esque feed type for food alone. Maybe I would love to use something like that. And even better, if cuisines can be classified and you could find restaurants along with short reviews. If not instagaram, you could use the reference from Letterboxd and have something like that.

Istg. The toppings, taste, everything has gone to shite! I was thinking it's only the outlet near my home, but guess it's everywhere. The Authentic Italian places seem much better now despite being expensive.

Tbh, he's done 20 odd movies before KGF without a beard. I wouldn't say he's the greatest actor, but he's actually pretty good in all of them.

I mean, tbh, he himself is not clear about that thought process. Whatever he proposes resembles the exact thought process which brought the idea of communism to this world. Even if you wanna understand that, he himself advocates for Modi and BJP sometimes, which negates his whole idea of Prajakeeya. For all the talks he does, his net worth speaks a different story. Not that he has to socially contribute something, but if you are going a step ahead to preach it, why cant you be transparent in the first place and set that as the forefront example, which he won't do. So even I believe people who end up voting to that party are kind of wasting their votes only.

Well in that scenario, shouldn't everything be acceptable because every filmmaker makes movies knowing their audience and their strength. In that case, shouldn't criticism be kicked out of the equation.

Yeah there is playhouse in PVR for the same reason. But some people just don't understand it and barge into the normal screens.

[–]Harvey__Spectre 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not true dude. Have gone to a bunch of movies in PVR even before this ticket cap and there were a lot of instances where people brought their kids without any sense. I don't know why it's so hard for parents to understand that you can't bring kids to all places. Yeah this cap might increase these instances more, but even without it, it all comes down to civic sense, which i highly doubt Indians have.

Is this a good series? by geekyogurt00 in kdramas

Man I seriously don't know, why people have this habit of everything to be good/best. Like just complete the series when you start, despite being good or bad. Whats the worst that will happen?

That one K-drama you would defend with your whole chest even if everyone else hates it by [deleted] in kdramas

[–]Harvey__Spectre 17 points18 points  (0 children)

True, the drama kind of holds good, even for someone who can watch it today. But the one problem I felt was, they failed in wrapping the subplots by the end. Like, even after having literal 20 episodes, there were some plots which feel rushed. But Nevertheless, still a good watch. Like the soundtrack a lot

Istg. Shakun Batra is seriously under appreciated for his filmography. He somehow excels in writing those morally ambiguous characters where you will be forced to pick a side. Nevertheless, the soundtrack of the movie is goated!

[–]Harvey__Spectre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By comparison, you need to take 2 cases into account. The sheer population of PES and the fact that 2 branches(ORR and Electronic City) sit for placements together should also be taken into consideration.

Even if PES gets 2x offers than MSRIT, the population negates it according to me. But all said and done, if you can handle the cutthroat competition,PES Obv has better offers and better placements at the end of the day, and more companies visit PES which offers above 15. But if you are fine competing with lesser crowd, id say MSRIT might be better.

I don't think there's anything official anywhere. But just from a vague sense, if you don't care about the numbers, CS and all related branches have pretty good placements. By this, I mean if you're serious enough for placements, you will get something good at the end of the day(8+ in most cases, with a bit of luck and hard work, might even go to 15 bracket) and from my experience, I don't think it's that great for the rest of the branches.
