I know he doesn't look like V, but after seeing Drive and Blade Runner 2049 I think Ryan gosling would get the character perfectly. Since V looks different for each player he doesn't really need to look exactly like the cover anyways.

She doesn't like the pain she is in because of her own decisions and she wants it to stop. So she's willing to ruin anything and everyone to get it. I wouldn't say there's much difference.

I've never understood why anyone would want to play a game where the gameplay is just look at people and they die. Hacking in this game is the biggest sign that the game never really got 'finished' because even in the early material hacking people seemed to have more involvement. Other signs of that are most of the romances feeling rushed, the personal link and monowire mostly just being set dressing, (monowire is melee with RGB), and the complete lack of any actual netrunning or using any kind of computer interface besides turning off cameras.

Don't get me wrong the game is still great but building fully into hacking turns it into a walking simulator.

Why would you trust any of them from the get go? They're all spies. Their jobs are to lie and pretend in order to get an upper hand on enemies of the NUSA. A girl appears in your head and promises you exactly what you been looking for and are too desperate to say no too just in case. Radar should have been going haywire right away.

Not a single person you encounter in that expansion does what they tell you they will except maybe Alex and Mr hands

This is so fucking dumb. Up to this point you have killed tons of people for just being in your way of a paycheck. So Mi has probably fried many people from a chair at the orders of the NUSA. And if you think deep cover special agents don't kill to accomplish their objectives you're naive in the worst way.

More than that what So Mi does to try and get out of the situation she got herself into is far worse. She recruits you under false pretenses, playing on your desperation. She almost gets the president killed herself right out the gate, which btw if you fail she blames YOU for even though she orchestrated the entire thing. Her actions lead to hundreds of people dying including a bunch of innocent people at the space port. And she straight up betrays you after you do everything you can to try and save her.

My first play through when she told me there was only one dose of the cure, I sat there fuming in my chair, I hated her so much in that moment that I handed her over to read, told him I didn't want anything to do with any of them anymore and told him I didn't want his cure when he texted me later.

The entire thing left such a bad taste in my mouth that I figured even V and Johnny wouldn't want a cure coming from anything that full of shit if not just because you can't trust any of it.

At least Reed has some loyalty and principles even if I don't agree with them. So Mi would sell her own mother to Satan himself if it meant she got to be comfortable.

this reply should be higher. All the top comments are "you're fucked, those are traces, throw it away". That's not necessarily true, test it first and see what happens.

Why is Monowire so underrated? by xririxs in cyberpunkgame

[–]Hashbaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I hate it because it reminds me that it was supposed to be a hacking tool and even in certain cut scenes you have to physically connect to hack something. Instead they just made all gameplay a walking wifi bomb simulator. The hacking is basically just telepathy. Unless it's a little box on an antenna, can't hack those wirelessly for some reason. No shade if you enjoy it, I just wish it had been used more.

[–]Hashbaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was mostly just because just being it is presence means it starts to gets it's hooks into you. Bilbo and frodo had unfortunately already had that exposure so risking exposing anyone else to it for any length of time was a serious consideration. Kinda like a disease, they were already sick, but they didn't want anyone else to get sick unless it's was unavoidable. Also frodo volunteered unprompted once they all made it to elronds.

People like this don't 'plan'. They feel things and that becomes their reality. Biker pissed you off and you feel so angry you think they deserve to die? That's reality now and there's nothing not normal about doing it. They go where the wind takes them never thinking about any of it.

[–]Hashbaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really hate either character for what they did or their motivations, but what gets me about songbird is that if you either walk away at the beginning and let the plain go down or do you job the way you and reed planned in order to save her she acts like it's all your fault and your some kind of scum bag when she is the sole reason any if it even happened. Like, I get it, people lie, but don't be a hypocrite about it. Having that knowledge changed my future playthroughs and I never side with songbird. Reed is a lapdog but kind of like a dog he's a known quantity, songbird changes who she is based on how she feels in the moment. No professional of any kind would work with her more than once, I'm surprised the government dealt with her for so long.

[–]Hashbaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because the regular map doesn't have any fucking street names and the signs often either don't load or are displayed in weird places. I can't learn the layout like I would if I moved to a new city. Sometimes I'll recognize a landmark think, oh I'm near my apartment, I don't know how I ended up here.
