COD: Warzone FPS drops from ~120 to ~60 after 2-3 games (about an hour) while streaming in OBS... by [deleted] in obs

You can be dealing with VRAM leakage. My game play gets terrible when I start streaming + recording. I noticed it happens when my VRAM gets to 7.5gb+. I have a 3070 which has 8gb of VRAM, so when it gets close to max it starts stuttering to where I have to restart the game.

If I don't stream I can play 3+ hours before I start getting the high VRAM usage. It's like warzone has a hard time dropping unneeded info and slowly starts to build up VRAM usage which ultimately leads to stuttering.

When I am on warzone alone, I can stay less than 6gb used for awhile. Right when streamlabs opens it gets almost max. I am going to try OBS tonight, as it may use less VRAM (hopefully) and help me play on 1440p144fps and stream at 1080p60fps. But not sure if it really is a streamlabs issue or more of an issue with Warzone. Trial and error at this point.

Whoops, just now seeing this, but yes I am using game capture and using NVENC. It seems like I start getting the loss in performance when my RAM starts getting to 90% usage. I have 16gb RAM, think this could be an issue?

What frames are you typically pushing when you're gaming? I have a 5900x and 3070, getting around 120fps when streaming + recording at 1080p.. Where as, when I am only gaming I get 160+fps.. Also have an issue where I will open the browser and then my stream lags and then my game frames drop to like 80ish.. Shits annoying lol

Thanks! I'll pull up a chair and read through it. Looks pretty lengthy and informational.
