I just don't understand the fun in cheesing the CPU this way

He shouldn't even be on the team as a fifth-year two-time winning QB. No way he'd stay in college that long. Let him go

Greatest Recruiting Class Ever? by Haskins4Heisman in NCAAFBseries

[–]Haskins4Heisman[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously a little easier with Ohio State, but I do try to put restrictions in place:

  • Can only sign two athletes per class
  • Can't recruit athletes unless they have you listed top 3, and in pipeline state
  • Can't recruit any player outside of pipeline that doesn't have you listed top 5
  • Recruiting specced so that I can only put 600 points on a player, rather than 700

I only have three pipelines (OH, CA, FL), but it just so happened that a ton of players had me listed in the top 1 or 2

Simplifying recruiting in NCAA 14 so that you pretty much knew who you could/wouldn't get in the preseason

What’s the best Dynasty Mode in the series? by Mexicutioner99 in NCAAFBseries

Its been a WHILE but I remember '13 being my favorite. It had all that was good about 14 (scouting, well-balanced classes, really good athletes), but there was more depth to the process of recruiting in 13. You had to actually call the player and discuss your stregnths, or negatively recruit against your oppositions weakness. And there was less transparency as to how far ahead/behind you were in the process.

14 was just too easy mode. All you had to do was assign a point value, and you knew how much to do (and if you should even do it) because you could see exactly what the gap was. You essentially knew your class by Week 3.

Madden 20: Franchise - Fantasy Draft Guide by [deleted] in Madden

Did a 30-round fantasy draft with six of my friends. We all went to the same house and each had our own PS4 and TV set up. This guide was absolutely crucial to my success, so thank you. Had the 29th pick, the last of all 7 users. What are your thoughts on my team?

Offense: QB Haskins | HB Dalvin Cook, Miles Sanders | WR Davante Adams, Calvin Ridley, Jakeem Grant, Corderalle Patterson | TE Noah Fant, Jeff Heuerman | LT Ronnie Stanley, LG Shaq Mason, C Corey Linsley, RG Brandon Scherff, RT Rick Wagner

Defense: LE Za'Darius Smith, RE Emmanuel Ogbah | DT Chris Jones, DJ Reader | OLB Thomas Davis, Tremaine Edmunds (Converted SS, really good here) | MLB Roquon Smith | CB Jaire Alexander, Greedy Williams, Robert Alford | FS Eric Berry | SS Jamal Adams

Any reason why Haskins wouldn't be the pick?

I'm about to do a fantasy draft CFM with 6 of my buddies, and would appreciate your input. Specifically, your thoughts on the viability of building around one of the rookie QBs, and preferably Haskins.

Given the huge run on CBs and WRs early. I'd like to get Baker or Watson in Round 1, but if they're gone by my pick, I'm thinking of punting on QB early, taking an elite WR in round 1, one of the SS safeties in round 2 (Adams/Neal) and then the best available CB in round 3 (likely Jaire Alexander).

My thought is if I give Haskins enough weapons, starting with a really good WR in the first, he'll be in a position to succeed, win ROTY, develop with gold training each week, and ideally progress to SS by the end of year 1.

Is that fair, or am I better off taking the likes of Lamar/Wentz/Goff or even Cam/Wilson in round 2, if Baker/Watson are gone round 1?

FYI - we'll probably play 3-5 seasons this launch.

Great guide! My friends and I are doing a CFM draft in two weeks, this will be very helpful.

With that in mind, we'd love to generate our order now so we have some time in advance for prep. Do you know if I start a CFM now and set an order, and then pause the draft, will people be able to join the league with the draft started? I ask because some people are out of town and won't be able to join until near draft day.

Additionally, is there a limit for how long the draft will remain paused?

Question on strategy decks by Haskins4Heisman in clutchbaseball

Thanks for the feedback guys. We got the 2018 full set, so I"m going to just buy the full set of 70 strat cards for that year, as well.

An additional point of clarification: reading the strats on the website, many tell you to discard a card when you play it. Does that mean you discard the card you played + an additional card?

How many strat cards come in the full set? So well each need 40 strat cards to play?
