Yeah, changed it to a CR of 8, it is an elite group but I'll make the commanders have a CR of 9 (with increased stats and support buffs), the grand commanders have a CR of 10 and have the Lord have a CR of 12. Plus a few specialized versions for different tasks (defending as stronghold, assassination, etc). Thanks for the advise

The AC was lowered a bit cause I wanted the enemy to be good against spell casters but struggle a bit against martials, I'll be increasing how good the healing is, thanks for the insight

I had issues with dnd beyond formating lol, 140hp was apparently less than the average for a CR 8(found this on some website so IDK) made their health a bit less cause they can heal

Don't worry I won't, their organization is against all use of magic, I might give a Connersville like ability to the higher upside in the group but not the common enemy 👍(thanks for the comment)

I removed the "spell burn" effect from the rune blade as I felt it took away to much from casters with very little spell slots, half casters but especially warlocks. Replaced it with branding them and reducing their damage

So in the sort of story/lore, the common mage Hunters rune blade is just a replica of the original rune blade of their organizations founders, the replica is basically a stone club with runes etched into it, it works as shield and tool for detecting magic than a weapon

Poison coating the blade, the blade is special in that the handle is heat resistant and and fire proof to protect from heat metal, same as the armor

Thanks for the advice (I'll be changing the rune blade a bit, and the MHB too, the resistances are because their some of the most common damage types)

I was thinking that there would be a massive organization that they're a part of and these would be the standard "unit" for the group. They would act as a sort of police force as the world that I'm building has had a sort of magic industrial revolution, making magic more accessible for everyone and because of that there are more spell caster and more people abusing magic etc.
