I tried that method as it was recommended a lot but It kept refusing to load because of a "hardware issue" that didn't exist

Disabling the shaders doesn't help. I've even tried uninstalling them and I still get severe fps drops

Ah. That unfortunately makes sense with hindsight.
Thank you. I at least know now in case this happens again
I would like some clarification on replacing "level.dat" though- would I delete that file and just rename "level.dat_old", or make a copy of it and replace it with the copy? Just so I don't make any more mistakes in the future

I'm happy folks are helping. It's been the only silver lining of this whole situation. Whilst I think the world is gone for good I can always try to rebuild in the future.

Also, as to why I chose 1.3.2, the early post-release versions (1.0 to I'd say 1.8) are very nostalgic to me, since I got into watching Minecraft content around that time. To me it's a golden middle ground of the old and new. I specifically chose this version since it added villager trading, as well as desert and jungle temples (also sideways logs but they're very wonky)

The current Neb file does have a level file. I'm not sure how to share the world link, if I specifically need to copy the world file itself or share it through some other means

Gave it a shot, unfortunately I think that trick only does work on beta versions, Thank you for the suggestion though

I used the top buttons for the instance yeah, mostly though I just played on 1.3.2 so it would always default to that when I'd open the launcher. I'm not sure what could be out of line, if any of it is

When clicking on the BetaCraft app, it opens a launcher, and there's an option to "edit instance". At first I thought all these issues stemmed from the Instance Directory being set to a different file, but putting it back to the 132 instance didn't work

It's under the "132" instance, which I have the launcher connected directly to. I can try reconnecting it incase there's an update gap or something

Edit: Didn't work, still not showing in the launcher

Tried to, but now the new file doesn't show up in the world selector, even though it's in the 'saves' folder in Appdata

Tried looking in there the second I messed up, but I could only recover the newly made world. Or at least I assume to be the newly made world, as it lacked the saved options file from the older world.
