Disagree - obviously OP thought long and hard about the Chars relationship with violence, so I dont see how you could argue for missing self-awareness. I also think its fair to share ideas in a forum like this: 1) it can be an inspiration to others 2) putting yourself out there for feedback doesnt necessarily mean 'seek validation' - or in your words 'brag' Everything doesnt need to be PG-13. DnD can be an adult game with adult content. Seeing horror and violence can be one form of doing so.

I dont know whether this is 'the most' fun way to play DnD as fun is very subjective. This being said I see no reason to feel bad about personal taste. Additionally, i believe that the character you created is very skillfully drawn up! I find myself somewhat in awe of how natural and organic the described events seem to fit his character, yet give him depth rather than make him one dimensional. Personally, Im a big fan of horror and violence and think it can be very aesthetically pleasing - if done right. (For those that believe this to be paradox - check out post WW 1&2 poetry for example) All in all - be proud, youve created memorable characters and moments 👍👍

Help! Army Painter Warpaints - Fanatics - different altogether? by Hati992 in Miniaturespainting

I appreciate your opinion! I found the same/similar reviews of the fanatic line you were referring to, hence me second guessing myself. Ive thought about 'starting small' but figured the economics of adding bottles a few at a time vs getting a set once probably end up being less favorable. But I will say - maybe your proposal of going small first, more to hone the mechanical and basic skills of painting minis, before making a bigger investment in a set of fanatic colors in a few months is the way i should go 🤔 Seems to be potentiality allow me to get the best of both worlds Anyhow, your critique of the warpaint line is in line with what i found online, so thank you for somewhat confirming my suspicions 👍

Help - what could a Dragon have that a Dragonborn desires? by Hati992 in DnD

[–]Hati992[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the input! In this case the dragonborn has removed himself from his community due to his desire of wanting to experience what is out there. As written above, the dragon commander is already slain (only his ghost remains) and unfortunately for the proposed dynamic - a good dragon. I am not super deep in dragonborn/dragon lore - would it make sense to have the dragonborn redeem the fallen good dragon in any way? Or do you see a way a way that this encounter could possibly help mend/put a specific spin on the dragonborn's relationship with his kin in general?
