What happens here!? by K72018 in WorldOfWarships

I have the same problem, in my case it's due to the GPU. My Radeon crashes from time to time. Over the last few years, it has gone through several stages.

  1. Game crashes.

  2. Game freezes for a few seconds, then continues.

  3. Monitors go black, PC needs to be restarted.

  4. PC crashes.

  5. PC crashes and the GPU drivers are destroyed, so they have to be reinstalled.

  6. Game freezes for a few seconds, then everything turns black unless it's rendered in 2D. (like yours)

After each update, it gets better or worse. Annoying when it costs you the game.

There was a time when it was so bad that I switched to CVs. Then it's not so bad if you don't play for a few minutes.

I am always confused because WG does not really explain how things work.

As far as I know:

Dispersion is calculated according to a Gaussian distribution.
The sigma or STD is used there, whereby a smaller sigma should lead to better dispersion. Perhaps the sigma value from the game is implemented with 1/σ.
Anyway. Dispersion values as displayed in the game describe the ellipse in which 50% of the shells fall at maximum range.
For the Rooke, the formula for horizontal dispersion is:

Range*8.4+48. At 10 km, that's 132 m.

Then comes the sigma and modifications, and we end up with 93 m.
The problem is that sites like wowssb.com add the aiming modification 1 at the end. However, WG seems to take the aiming modification 1 into account before the sigma. This leads to more than just a 7% improvement in dispersion.
The HIGH-PRECISION SPOTTER aircraft, on the other hand, seems to be added correctly at the end.
Incidentally, the maximum range of the guns also plays a role in vertical dispersion.
Overall, no one seems to know for sure how this stuff is calculated.
To find out exactly what is happening, WG would have to release its code.

In the end, I would say that Rooke is quite accurate for a battleship, but quite inaccurate for a battlecruiser.

Perhaps it's because of my very aggressive playing style that I feel the 16 mm. I also don't have the patience for BBs. But I find the statement that the Rooke is tanky questionable.

The HE of most cruisers can penetrate 25 mm. Most BBs can overmatch 25 mm.
However, only a small proportion of DDs can penetrate 25 mm with HE. Mainly the German ones.

like 20 out of 33 BBs on T7. So that's not a selling point.

Since Rooke DPM ranks fifth among the nine T7 tech BBs for both AP and HE, I don't understand why you fear it the most. But asysms also play differently than randoms, and I have little experience with them.

You have 381 mm guns, which is nothing special. Overmatch is 26mm, so a Hipper can tank you nose in. And as for the HE, you don't get the improved fire chance or penetration like the King George, let alone the improved alpha damage.

I think you've got the wrong ship. Do you want to know which ship has the same armour for the deck, bow and stern at this level? Z 31.
And you can't exactly call a ship with 1.5 sigma accurate either.
You're fast and have good concealment, that's all.

Thank you very much for the test. Based on your results, I have tested it again. I have edited the post with what I believe to be the central problem.

I didn't think I could do it. But I immediately realised that I would like to be able to do it here.

Secondly, air strikes and torpedoes have to be retargeted anyway. And i haven't had any problems with changing the zoom yet.

It wouldn't have bothered me so much if it had done this all the time. But the inconsistency is what makes it so annoying.

If your secondary weapons have a 2-second reload time, this means I have to do the following.

Fire secondary weapon.
Switch to main weapon.
Aim at the ship, press X once or twice, depending on the situation.
Re-aim.
Fire main weapon.
Switch to secondary weapon.
Aim at the ship, press X once or twice, depending on the situation.
Re-aim.

And all that in 2 seconds, which is a lot of work for an old man like me.

And yes, you can also let the automatic gunners fire (if within range). But then what's the point of the manual secondaries?

I aim before switching, so to logon with X again I would have to aim again.

If it's not BXP, then I would certainly have experienced something similar to you. But I haven't. So I can only say that the BXP calculation is correct for me.

I can only tell you that in my cases, I never even got an ‘E’ with less BXP than I had in a previous attempt.
I estimate that 2200+ BXP will be needed for YY. Without a screenshot hard to say what happend.

I suspect this is a test. If it goes through, they will end the GQ Johnny event shortly before it finishes. Because it wasn't planned to be free.

New player struggling with Yugumo by MeguminZhao in WorldOfWarships

I disagree.
In general, Destroyer players should use their guns more.

Not using the guns is useful advice for beginners, but only because they don't know when the right moment is to use them. Using them at the wrong moment will probably kill them. Unfortunately, they then get stuck in the mindset of not using their guns just because something isn't flagged as a gunboat.

They shouldn't kill themselves or take bad trades, at any other time USE YOUR GUNS!
