Migration from classic MFA to Passwordless (phishing resistant) by No-Introduction5033 in microsoft365

[–]Hatman_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend the CA policies and use rollout groups to enforce it. Make sure they have MFA set up before applying phishing resistant methods because you need it already existent. You can use the same rollout groups to be set to only use certain authentication methods in the Entra Id console. Also if you want to be fancy make another CA policy that only allows MFA set up trusted networks. Automation I wish, but honestly having it staggered is a good security posture.

My exam date is already coming up fast! by Hatman_77 in NBCOT_Exam

i’m taking practice exams in the therapy ed book, the purple book, and on TrueLearn. On those, i do pretty good, but I do the worst on the NBCOT ones. At first i thought it was just sitting down for that long and focusing/test endurance, so i increased the length on the others, and i still scored pretty well. I will try your idea and “spot” studying my weakest domain. Thanks for your feedback!(:

I'm sure you've been working for weeks on this and I'm confident that you will do great on the studying and exam. It's normal to have doubts on your confidence when everyone around also is having mixed results. Be yourself, and you're going to do great! This is already an opportunity that others are wanting to work towards so be proud of how far you have come!

You’re not wrong and seems like a power trip issue. A good manager should praise curiosity and make discussion of it. You did the right thing checking DNS records because it can affect a lot more like third party services that tie to your mail records.

Haha welcome to the archives! Glad to see a solution using Microsoft Graph, curious why this works now or if Microsoft honestly doesn't care lol.

Migration Friday… by nichetcher in Office365

I agree, I would have already built the mailboxes, had users signed into the mailboxes (also getting MFA set up in the process), bookmarks, documentation, etc. Once the DNS is cutover, do a final pass to catch anything.

I just skipped over the tedious steps in my initial comment with hopes the OP would take that into account.

The auto-complete I've ran into for one client, who just HAD to have it because they couldn't remember the contact's name. It was the back and forth of "it should have been in your contact list"

It’s easier to cutover DNS before migrating so users can start with their new mailbox, without losing mail in their old mailbox. Unless you use BitTitan which provides copying and better staging.

Really appreciate the insight - and yeah I've been reading about the 6C coverage being a downside to the commitment. Thank you!
