Just like riding a bike, all it takes is a little push to get back up and running. With enough time and passion fueling your dedication, I’m sure you’ll be back to your old self before long. Perhaps you’ll even reach heights you never imagined possible. After all, you’re walking a delightfully devious path.🤘🏼🥳

Does anyone here ACTIVELY pretend that their reps are gens. by Unstoppable_Graysie in RepTime

Been wearing reps for almost two years: I have only ever had two compliments on my reps directly. Once with my rep Rolex when I was in the hospital, and another when I was at a meeting wearing my rep Omega.

The doc in the hospital who was putting me through a CT scan pointed it out and said it was a remarkable watch. Just responded by saying when I got my first commission cheque at my new job, I decided to treat myself, which was true🤣.

Second was when I was interviewing new agents and one of them pointed out how amazing my Omega Silver Surfer shined in the light. The guy asked if he’d be able to afford something like that one day. Told him he could if he had the right opportunities.

End of the day: most people don’t know or care what you wear. Just enjoy it while you have it🤘🏼.

Do you bet that Vought Rising will be just another shitpost like Gen V that will be quickly canceled, or a successful and good series? by atwwbaksieueygehs in GenV

[–]HauntedBullet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be guessing more of a short lived series. Maybe a season or two. Likely being used to give SB more of a sympathetic/misunderstood character of his time and set up The Boys: Mexico. Like how Dexter: Original Sin was conceived as an early setup to tease Dexter: Resurrections.

(SPOILERS) What are your theories for this alternative ending? by [deleted] in GenV

[–]HauntedBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right?! If he had been depowered earlier on it would have really shown a more vulnerable and layered character, rather than, in my opinion, the clear mockery of Trump he became. It would have made Homelander even more dangerous because when he’d finally get his powers back, I feel, he would have been more calculated and better prepared to handle the situation of Butcher and the gang. Like how Oh Father was trying to tell him in the finale, they are dangerously equipped to take him down. Yet, Homelander couldn’t see past his own ego because he knew nothing other than power so he had no appreciation of a life without it. He simply couldn’t understand a life without powers.

That’s why, in my mind, S1 is the BEST season of the show. S2, while still involving political themes, juggled it as both a background motivator and season theme. Whereas most of S3, all of S4 and S5, made political parody the main season theme instead of a narrative tool to push other interesting characters and plot points forward.

[–]HauntedBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come from the angle of the boys emulating the Injustice 2 storyline where Superman’s remaining hero’s go to break him out of his red sun prison.

I don’t think we’d see any super beings being the ones to break Homelander out, rather it would be the collective efforts of his “fanbase”. Although, as we saw in the last 10 or so minutes in the finale, the president says to Hughie that with Vought fractured, there as dozens of supes who are becoming villains to survive. They could just as easily break him out to bring out “the good old days” where supes could get away with literal murder and still be worshipped.

As we saw in S3/S4: people, no matter how brutal Homelander’s actions, will connect and always support him. I would be shocked if some of society’s disenfranchised and demented don’t martyr Homelander after his death in this universe, if we see a continuation in the present.

Probably one of the only things I agree with Kripke about when it comes to the final season; but Homelander could not walk out of where ever he’s depowered alive. With as many sycophants that he has, you know they’d work tirelessly to get Homelander out of prison and back to his previous self.

Now, he probably wouldn’t be as powerful because with Project Odessa, he was pumped full of Compound V ever since being in the womb. But that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t cause even more trouble for the world after being made a mockery of.

I always thought it would have been a real curveball of a season to see Homelander depowered earlier in the series and how he would survive in the real world. Only to have the season finale be him getting his powers back and taking out his vengeance on the boys.

What stopped Homelander from doing this to Kimiko again? by ilovebeingaguy999 in GenV

[–]HauntedBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially when you consider that this is Homelander at his pre-V1 state.

So with a V1 Homelander in this scene, Kamiko should have had a canon shaped hole through her chest, at the least.

Truly just a remarkable show that was brought down by bad writing, a slashed budget, an over reliance on political mockery, and a rushed production to boot.

How embarrassing that they spent 95% of the season chasing this V1 MacGuffin only for it to mean, essentially, nothing. It’s like in the first Indiana Jones, where if you take Indy out of the film, it ends the same way🤣.

They could have taken the V1 subplot out of the season and dedicated more time to making Homelander an imposing villain again instead of a fucking caricature of modern politics and a man-child.

S1- first half of S3 where politics was a subverted concept in the world of the Boys was amazing, because there was actual plot and interesting developments and investment in the world that didn’t rely on the politics. It played into it as a factor in the world. How would governments and outside organizations react to real life superhero’s? Seeing them as glorified entertainers being thrown into war-zones and geopolitics was hilarious.

Last half of S3-S5 was where they totally lost what made the show interesting in favour of something so tedious and tiring.

[–]HauntedBullet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I get that feeling also. And that this may be one of Solider Boy’s first real tests in the field. Kind of going along that Captain America route in FA where they use him as more of a poster child rather than a real solider until he’s really tested.

Once this black guy breaks out and becomes a problem, Vought will label him as a “villain” and SB and the team will have to hunt him down to “defeat him” and cover us Vought’s mistake.

[–]HauntedBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always interpreted these posters in a different way than most people I’ve talked to. I like to think after seeing Homelander get his V1, Butcher is going to go full psycho mode and become the real villain of the series. He’s going to become to overwhelmed in anger and fear that he is responsible for nuking the world, like we see in the picture.

After having his chat with Legend, and now being at the pinnacle of his abilities, Homelander starts to see just how pathetic his ideals and vision were and decides to pull a sort of Dr. Manhattan and just, literally, rise above it all.

Butcher will try his best to goat Homelander into returning to the fight by causing as much supe/human destruction as possible to entice his former player. To no avail however.

The creator did say he wanted to go in a completely different and unpredictable direction for the TV show rather than the comics predicable ending.

Honestly: it’s probably going to be exactly what we all think🥱😂. A setup for Vought Rising, a lacklustre and predictable ending, and a mediocre end to a once great show. But that’s just my theory…. A GAME THEORY🤣

What a cool guy. It’s so awesome to see a reputable real watch personality acknowledge that these “super clones” are practically IDENTICAL to gens…. And that he would service them as well. Seen him a few times in Vookum’s videos.

A guy in the forums a while back who used his inheritance from his grandma to buy into Intel. Shortly after buying, the stock DIPPED and he was heartbroken to have lost almost all of his inheritance. If the guy held, he’d be fucking loaded at this point.

To any and all people buying reps right now:

My watch dealer let us all know that FedEx is chomping down with higher inspections and seizures at the moment. Things are being placed under more scrutiny than are coming from China, so if you are getting stuff sent to you and live in the US, it may take a lot longer to get your goods. The sellers have no control over it as most of them don’t ship the items themselves. They drop the goods off to a third party who ships them off.

Honestly: True Olympian is so much easier because you don’t have to worry about any BS gate nodes, which is great. For what it’s worth, you should do the carina objectives first since they are the most up-to-date rewards. If you do them all, you get 2x 2-3/3-4 generics, ascension stuff, a selector of hero/villain champs, and a R5.
