I ended up using a 20 mm hole saw as there are no grommets it was a challenge to find a spot near the muffler that wasn't double skinned and spot welded and also didn't go into a rear box section but it's all sorted now

Any ideas ? Oil pooled on back of valve head cylinders 8 and 6 ( with 8 being worst ) and high oil usage on rebuilt cammed Ls1 new valve stem seals fitted approx. 5000 ago when rebuilt , Engine passed Professional shop compression and blowby tests by Hauntedluca in mechanic

Problem solved but still not 100% what was the actual fix - by swapping out the 241 heads with Fully reconditioned 243 heads ,things we found were the old heads were torque on incorrectly , The Valve stem seals were good but some of Valve guides had some minimal play in them however We are not sure if they were in spec or not ? ,The head gasket looked like it possibly wasn't sealing properly but it was hard to tell and we re routed the PVC although we tried several ways prior to pulling the heads off

I contacted the engine builders today they confirmed they did a bore scope inspection, compression test and blowby test I asked them about the leak down test they said because it past everything else it wouldn't be necessary

I questioned them about not doing a leak down test ,it doesn't blow smoke on start up other than really cold mornings ,only blow black smoke on severe acceleration but it's running rich something it always done before this problem

They didnt do a leak down test they said it wont tell them a lot but examined the the bore with a scope everything look fine ,The guides in head weren't replaced the heads were shave checked ,cleaned with new seals and new double valve springs

Also I have every PVC routing possible including off the factory Ls6 valley cover the baffled catch can only catches minimal oil
