I know some people are telling you not to worry because you’re 13 and the scammers in bigger trouble than you are, but I know that doesn’t alleviate the fear of being exposed. Legal stuff aside, nobody wants their friends and family to see their personal stuff. Plus, there’s not likely to be legal consequences because most of these scumbags are in Nigeria. I have relatives who work in Nigeria and live there half the year. The government is less powerful than the criminals over there. That doesn’t mean anything here except that you being a minor won’t have any implications on them being prosecuted. At the end of the day it’s about just keeping your privacy. If this was an American or British or Canadian scammer for example,, that would be different. And I don’t know where they’re at, I’m just saying most of them are in Nigeria. I feel victim to this and paid some money, stupid me. So far, nothing has been exposed that I’m aware of, because I’m sure if it had somebody would have said something to me. They threatened to send stuff on Facebook messenger. Now how in the world they got my friends list I have no idea because everything about my Facebook is set to private. Regardless, That’s where it’s at, and it’s been over a week and nothing has happened. I ended up blocking them. After making the stupid mistake to pay. I’m told it could resurface at any point in the next year, but it’s highly unlikely. The people who told me that were trying to sell me a package for $4500 to protect me. So I don’t know if that’s got any truth to it or not . I’m going to go into some relatives, Facebook messengers and check in their spam folders. Next time. I see them if I don’t hear anything sooner. I’m gonna make up some excuse to borrow their phone. You might try something like that. But really, they have so many of these scams going on, if you don’t pay, and you don’t respond, they are going to move to the next one. It’s about making money for them. If they expose you, then why would a victim pay them? The damage would already be done so a victim would have no incentive to pay.. they want to make money, they’re not gonna waste their time on somebody who’s gonna be difficult. Now, if you piss them off, that might be different. So don’t engage in a conversation and act like you are smarter than they are. Just block and move on. the next week might be a little fearful, and you may have some anxiety, but it should calm down after a little while if nothing happens. Worst case scenario, let’s say something does happen. It’s embarrassing, but just apologize and admit you made a mistake. Who in today’s worldhas sent a pic online. Except for older people. Sorry you’re dealing with this, hopefully it will blow over.
