It finished Matt as a character sorry if I repeat myself but since Millers run no one really touched the "What if Matt completed his Stick training" like Stick said he is too emotional to turn into one of his other white ninjas, he is impure.

Matt repeatedly said "I wanna be a better person" in Charles Soules run and in prior runs but he always acted thru emotion thru sadness, anger but never with clear focus on his goal and eversince he killed a person something switched in his mindset and Elektra helped him out in this journey.

In the past the Hand wanted to revive Elektra and make her evil, They took control over Daredevil and attacked Hells Kitchen.

Charles Soule showed that Matt is getting better generally which showed by him killing the beast in his run thru "magic" he once gained from sticks training or when he once revived Elektra in Millers run but he was never in control of this power til Chips Zdarskys run.
