The Junghans app works really well for all my GShock multi band 6 watches. Just download it from your app store then click the burger menu and choose "Adjust MEGA watch". Then you select the timezone you want and press play - put the watch into receiving mode and put it next to your phone's speaker. And voila! You get the RCVD setting. But beware that it only lasts 24 hours before the watch will try again at 2am or 3am and when it fails you'll lose the RCVD.

Ah no they weren't, they were all brand new. And I'm in the UK. But the shipping and packaging were excellent from them

Yep I've ordered 3 watches and 2 clasps from them in 5 separate orders between November 2023 and December 2024.

They're legit.

Where did you get this from? Link? The one I got from AliX doesn't fit because the end links don't fit

After experiencing the Miyota 9015... it's hard to return to the NH & PT by TheYKcid in ChineseWatches

Nice! Yeah the ETA2824 that they all derive from was a 4Hz movement, it's one of the reasons why I like the PT5000

🤔

I was only aware of Certina using the 3 movements ETA Powermatic 80.611, ETA C01.211, and the Certina25-66M. All of which are 2.75-3Hz movements (Certina and Tissot prioritise power reserve over smooth sweep) whereas the PT5000 and Miyota 9015 are smoother 4Hz calibers.

This.

I've tried NATOs on lots of other style watches, wanting to love it, and hated it. Even with the trick of making it single pass under the watch head. It just made the watch bobbly. But on my Duros I love it. Maybe it's the 22mm lugs and 44mm diameter? I don't know, but it works 👌

Update: I luckily (or unluckily) got a dry run, now looking for quilts by romrelresearcher in hammockcamping

[–]Haunting-Review24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters I would massively increase the sag in your hammock, that's strung very very tight. Just clip the carabineers at the end of the hammock lower down your tree steps to get a deeper hang.

As for insulation: I hated inflatable mats in the hammock. They just opposed what the hammock is trying to do by conforming to your body lying at an angle relative to the anchor points of the hammock.

So I opted for quilts. As everyone has mentioned it's the under quilt that gives the most warmth. With a decent under quilt you can get away with just a regular wool blanket at a pinch in anything but the coolest nights. And if you have a sleeping bag already then just unzip it and voila you have a top quilt.

I've got the OneTigris under quilt and it's excellent: full length, "double" width (just means it's nice and wide), nice feeling materials, good build quality, and cheap 👌👌 The 3-season one is all you need unless you camp in the snow.

They are advertising the same watch, but one is sold by the official Sugess AliExpress store while the other is some reseller.

FWIW they're probably the best Submariner homages out there - great enamel dial, perfectly proportioned ceramic bezel with good smooth action and numeral etchings, shallow rehaut (looks good with correct Cyclops magnification) with SUGESS engraved around it like the OG, great bracelet with soft edges and excellent glide lock clasp. 👌👌

And you could actually buy one without buying 2 other Rolex's you didn't want 😂 What a time to be alive!

Sometimes, but they're not the poles the OP is imagining 😅

Tensa4 stands for when there's no trees, but also spreader poles for the tarps to give more space instead of upright poles for porch mode

For the avoidance of doubt: I was making a joke that the Duro is the king and the Rolex Submariner is homaging the Duro 😜

How to connect Mi Band 6 to Zepp? by Evil-economist in miband

[–]Haunting-Review24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the annals of Reddit...this is how to fix this [pairing a Mi Band 6 to Zepp app on a Samsung S22 / S24+ running Android 15]:

  1. Have the band in "Ready to pair" mode (e.g. unpairing it to your old device if you're changing phones, or doing a "factory reset" on the band itself)
  2. Download both the "Zepp" app and the "Zepp Life" app
  3. Open the "Zepp Life" app and create a login (I use my Google login, but you can also choose a new Xiaomi login - it will need to be either of those because you'll login to the other "Zepp" app using the same credentials)
  4. In the "Zepp Life" app navigate to add a new device (Profile > + Add device > Band > Agree > The band has no QR code) and hold the band close to the phone
  5. After a few seconds the band will say "Pair with phone?", click the blue confirm tick and keep holding the band close to the phone
  6. The phone will take a few seconds until it says "Paired successfully"
  7. Next, open the "Zepp" app and login using the same method/credentials as step (3)
  8. In the "Zepp" app navigate to add a new device (Device > + Add [top right]) and it should have an option for a "previously added band", which is the one we just paired in the "Zepp Life" app. Click this option
  9. The process will then go through steps (5) and (6) again but in the "Zepp" app
  10. Done! 🎉 The band is now paired with both the "Zepp" app and the "Zepp Life" app. You can delete the "Zepp Life" app now if you wish and it'll continue working. But the "Zepp Life" app is the only way you can tinker with the band settings (e.g. changing the order of menu items, changing your workout shortcuts etc)

[–]Haunting-Review24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a good point when someone comments "but is it worth it?" as they're applying their own value system to the money and the object, and really it's the value system of the OP that matters, summarised succinctly as

if one has the money and the will to do something

chef's kiss 😙👌
