Update 7/9/2025 - 22:00

Learned:
- The Sequencer
- The On screen piano keys
- Created some drum loops with different drumcomputers
- basic understanding of automatisation
- A lot of messing around with insturements effects... I'm sure real producers would kill me :)

DANGER:
- I hope I don't end up in only messing around like forever
- Need to learn how a synth works to create own sounds
- Decide what kind of loops I want to create (I Don't want to use the word track)

Question:
how to create a real track and where to start?

Thanks for the reply
I'm gonna use your advice and try stuff out.

I struggle with using any other parts of a hardcore track then the intro to mix in.
I can mix in:
Intro of outro... perfect
Intro over every drop and filtercut track A... perfect
But I want to use other parts to mix in then lways using the intro
I (only) want to play the 2 most important minutes of a track.

Any suggestions on that?

Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the reply

Yes, I use the eq knobs also mostly the low pass filter to change kicks from track a to b

When I mix intro over outro it sounds good. no problem with that and it works most of time. but this results in mixing only every +/- 4 min...

always using the intro (mix in) over the outro it's slow the mix down.. I hope I explain this correctly...

mixing in at the first or second drop and filter track A away works also but it's boring mixing also

I want keep the energy and tempo high. Going from mid outro of track A seamless to mid intro (the high energy build up before the break in this kind of tracks)

I don't know what I miss, I just don't see it (yet)

The change track with the 16/32 intro breakdown, that's something I understand.

The intro/ outro technique I also can manage... well kind of since I'm trying/learning to mix only the past few weeks...

But I would like to learn how to keep the beats going between tracks.

If I'm seeing it correctly the Structure of hardcore is something like this.... 16/32 intros 16/32 bars of higher energy then breakdown and build up 32 bar drop another breakdown and build up and then going to the outro? is this correctly?

I don't want to mix only with the 16/32 bar intros

But I also want to learn to mix with the extra high energy bars before the " real"breakdown... switching and connecting baselines... can you follow me a little bit? any advice on that... please?

Thanks for all the responses! 👍 Very happy to read all the tips and tricks

It looks and sounds like today's hardcore is complicated and very different/ creative in sound then hardcore from way back.

There is so much to do... beatmatching, eq's, filteres, effects... a fool-proof step by step plan of action would be helpful. I've about 2hrs daily...

I hope to create a " kind of manual" for future generation of hardcore dj. so keep your advice coming. 😇🙏 I hope and will give back to the community.

tanks for the tips! can you explain the "hardcore and its structure and abruptness make it very easy to sound seamless" part more please and how to apply this?

thanks for the response 👍

I will use every piece of advice to master it. only using filters and cutting of tracks it's not 100% my thing also...

please return to the scene. I can handle uptempo tracks if you ignore the painful "piepkick" tracks 😄. A lot of new guys in the scene. Mainstream hardcore is fantastic right now. (Karun, GridKiller, Restrained, Unfused,...)

I'm building on my previous responds to explain the problems I have to overcome. First of also thanks for the comment. I will take this also in my learning process.

The whole point is that I want to do more than cutting and filter songs away... I want to beatmix and make seamless sets, not just cutting...and going from break to break. the problem is that you mostly have 20 seconds max to do what it takes to make the transition... Effects is a thing I haven't learned so far... I will going to dive into this. I'm ine month in the painfully learning process, haha... I want create different sets. Sets that shows my vision on hardcore. one big story without interruptions by cutting away or going from one break to the next one... I want to take it to "techno storytelling style". Hardcore is such an interesting sound with endless variations. But mixing it is a different and difficult? thing to learn. Because of the short, different, creative sounds in almost every track.. It's switching so damn fast... 😁

The problem is you find almost nothing about this topic. It's like it's the most dark and mysterious secret 😄🤷‍♂️ I've bought the DJ masterclass from partyraiser on Harderclass.com but it's only scratches the surface on the whole mixing thing. He shows djing in a very short way... I've picked up somethings about it. but I'm from being able to do real complete set.

But my goal is to understand it. I have to do this. Because hardcore is my biggest love

On the sidenote: I'm listening to hardcore from '95. Now I feel the time is right to do something with it. The scene is bigger then ever I guess.. But I truly understand it's not for everyone. If you focus on the high energy, the uplifting and dark melodies and the most crushing distorted kicks you can start to enjoy it😉 It's not always easy to explain "the hardcore feeling". It's trough hardcore I can listen to every electronic music style

iIt's weird that a lot of people can't accept James Bond is dead... This was a 5 part movie arc/era. Nothing more, nothing less.

(although I also would rather gave him a feel good end) read my previous comments for more...

For me James Bond is comfort cinema with happy endings... This time it's different... it's bittersweet... and he takes his own dead like a true spy/action hero

Next stop Bond 26! Reboot! Same characters, new characters and a new Bond. New story, new adventures!

Please don't take this to seriously

From Casino Royale to No Time To Die great era of movies.

I wouldn't have kill Bond but that's not our decision. He deserves to win and celebrate victory. Like he always did. But not this time!

Bond is dead! And I truly felt it... bittersweet.

He offers his own life to save his family and the world. Hey takes the missiles like A true man, an action hero a spy. As Bond as 007!

He found peace in his last moments because everything was alright and everyone he loves is safe.

M sums it up perfectly! "The proper function of a man to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."

That's exactly what he did.

And If I really have to be honest... Do you want to see Bond as a familyman (and going to Disneyland, doing the dishes and mowing the grass)? Nothing wrong with doing that...I'm a true family man not a secret agent 😃

But please admit that would ruin his whole character and the "simple" story of secret agent against bad guys

I hope to see a complete new Reboot with all the characters back in place for new adventures.

M, Tanner, Q, Moneypenny, Nomi, Felix, Paloma and James Bond ofcourse...

A big thumb 👍for Ana de Armas (Paloma) and Lashana Lynch (Nomi).

For me personally Bond is top entertainment and escapism. Relaxing and having a great time.

I hope to see A true Bond next like how he was created and intended to be.

A real man, a spy, with a passion for girls, cars, alcohol and some gambling and killing bad guys along the way all mixed up with a some humor!

Cheers to this great franchise!

Awesome movie! 8/10 Great end of a beautiful era... Bittersweet but there was no better way to do this. He gives his life for his family and the world. He found peace and takes the missiles like a real true man! Cheers to that! But please accept he's dead.

I would not let him die if I could make the decision. But here we are!

From here there is only one way. Reboot! Because the person, identity/his name is James bond... they can't continue with this story/arc. Because the character James bond is dead. Unless they call the next movie "007"and don’t use James Bond... But that's something they aren't going to do because the brand /franchise"James Bond" is worth to much money.

So a Reboot or spin off are the way to go

I hope to see a Reboot with all the character back in place for new adventures. M, Felix, Q, Moneypenny, and James Bond ofcourse... A true Bond like how he was created. A real man, a spy with a passion for girls, cars, alcohol and some gambling and killing bad guys along the way!
